About Me

I come from a family with a very humble economic background and therefore I have known hardship from the days of my childhood. I have experience in different fields, including having been a full time and the only pastor of a local church for about two years, teaching in a secondary school for over five years and working as a relationship officer in a local micro-finance bank for about four years.
All along, my dream has been to start a business that I would grow to something reliable in terms of income generation.
Over the time I attempted to do several businesses, but eventually settled on a Cyber Cafe' business, which I have been running for almost a year now. I decided to resign from my job at the micro-finance bank early this year so as to manage the business closely. With my full-time involvement in the business, I introduced Lands and Estate Agency and I also do brokering on General Insurance policies.
I come from a cosmopolitan town which is also frequently visited by both local and international tourists and therefore does not have any unique culture.
I have one toddler boy child who can hardly express himself for now. He means the world to me and cannot wait for the time he will become of age to start telling me about his dreams.
I don't have any peculiar habit I can call a hobby, but at least I enjoy traveling and making new friends.

My Business

From my explanation above, the business is largely service oriented. I chose this kind of business intentionally, first because of the growing demand for the services, but also due to its flexibility. On average I get about US$300 a month from the Cyber Cafe' at the moment, which I expect to grow to at least US$450 a month by the end of this year. I also get about US$150 per month from the other business activities at the moment and expect the same to have grown to at least US$ 300 by the end of this year.
The cost of revenue is currently about US$200 per month which is manageable.
I currently plough back most of the profit to improve on the facilities at the Cyber Cafe' and also as float for the rent collection segment.

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the loan to purchase a manual binding machine. The machine costs about Kshs.5000. Therefore I will add the difference so as to get it as soon as possible, if this application goes through and I get funded.

I wish to express my gratitude to my previous lenders and the whole of the Zidisha team for the great financial support they have been giving me. I used my last loan to purchase a manual binding machine which was lacking in my Cyber Cafe business. The acquisition of the binding machine has been of great value to the business as I can now provide the binding services which has widened the scope of service provision hence increase in revenue. I have been ploughing back most of the profit to the capital of the business which is gradually increasing the stability of my business.

I am so thankful to the lenders of my previous loan and the Zidisha team at large. The loan enabled me to buy a carton of printing papers to be used in my Cyber cafe' business. This helped me to save a lot on the cost of papers as buying a rim at a time would have been very expensive. God bless you guys!!!

To the specific persons who have funded my loan and the Zidisha team at large, I am so grateful for your consideration on my application. I will use the money to buy a carton of printing papers to be used in my Cyber Cafe' business. This will help me save on my business expenses as buying a rim of papers at a time would have costed me over US$5 above what I will now spend. Once again, I'm so thankful.
