About Me

I'm 22. I completed high school and single and lives with my mother and a sister.
I have been a waitress at a restaurant for 2 years. I also have a store where i sell basic staples.
I will use this loan to purchase corn, beans, vegetables, pasta, and personal and hygiene articles to stock my store.
My dreams of helping my mother to improve our home. I would also like to study at university.

My Business

Three years ago, I started my business buying and selling kitchen utensils. I have been working successfully and I earn good income from my business. I wants to expand my business and I need some money to do so.

Loan Proposal

I'm selling variety of grocery items in my shop. Now, I wants to grow my business to earn greater amounts that enable me to sustain my family necessities. In this connection, I'm requesting a loan of $45. I'm very excited to see my business growing.
The loan will help to add stock of fast moving foodstuffs, just like bread, flour, soap, sugar and other items. My business goal is to open a major supermarket within 5 years. I run a shop for a living, where I delight in interacting with people as I give them service. In the villege I'm known to be joyful and generous, and my shop is well stocked as well.
Due to increased demand for food items, I will add stock of fast moving foodstuffs to grow my business income. I'll use the profit to repay my loan in a short period of time.
I have a dream of owning a mini supermarket soon.

The loan will help to buy more rice, sugar, cooking oil and salt to sell in order to repay my loan and help with daily expenses at home. I would like to deal in an international business within the future. I wish to say thanks to all lenders.

$45 helped to buy more stock of maize flour, baking flour and breaks for sell. Due to insufficient capital from my mother as she is a farmer, I run a business selling rice, sugar, cooking oil, salt and some other groceries. I started to sell with my own money and also learned this trade by myself. I have no problem by doing business. I like my business because it has empowered my life. I open my shop daily from 5:00 am until 9:00 pm, making sure that my sales go well.

I want to excel in business; therefore, I have applied for another loan. The loan will help to buy more rice, sugar, cooking oil and salt to sell in order to repay my loan and help with daily expenses for the home. I would like to deal in an international business within the future. I wish to say thanks.

A loan of $45 helps to add stock of breads, sugar, maize flour, baking flour and other small items.

You know being a breadwinner in the family, however, is not easy at all but through Zidisha loan on point of support, I have had to make it easy for our family, and do it gladly and proudly because I'm very responsible.

With my little store that I started in 3yrs back. Since then it has become a great gathering place for my neighbors where they can get their groceries nearby, and don’t have to travel to a further store. I wants to push forward my business so asking for a loan to buy sodas, snacks, and other groceries to stock up my store and to have more to sell.

A loan of $45 helps to buy different varieties of groceries such as sugar, maize flour, rice and baking flour, to sell at my shop.
As a Lady born into a poor setting with a lack of basic needs, I've been through many adversities but always triumphs. I'm an entrepreneur full of dreams and aspirations for my life. I resides in a sleepy village tucked in remote parts of Busia County, Kenya.
As the key breadwinner of our family, I've been practicing mixed businesses for the past three years now. Because of the immense knowledge I've in sales and marketing field, I command a lot of respect from other entrepreneurs in our village. Meanwhile I also practice a small scale farming/ hot cultural, previously my primary source of income has been milk, eggs, and crops, but also engages in a small business to supplement the meager income I earn through farming. Although I've been making profits from farming, but I've identified a market segment for selling groceries.
The only big challenge I always face is a lack of funds, but I thank and salute the Zidisha team for the support. I also intend to buy different varieties of cereals, such as cow peas, lentils, maize, sorghum, rice, wheat, barley and millet, to sell in the local market.
The market size for cereals is never a problem because the demand is always high and I plan to take advantage of this. Because of the good relationship I have with my neighbors, I plan to increase my market by using word-of-mouth to reach more customers and markets.
Please I request you to nurture me and help me grow to achieve my dreams.
    Thanks. Hellen.

First, I appreciates the funders for the financial support, $45 will help to buy cooking oil and maize flour. I'm a shopkeeper who likes my business and especially when interacting with people. I'm warm and kind, and my clients enjoy the services I always give them. I always wake up before dawn to open my business and make good income as my shop is located at a vantage point.
I will buy cooking oil and maize flour to grow my sales and income. All my profit will be channeled to pay my loan in a short period of time so that I can take another loan. I have a dream of having a wholesale shop soon.

  • James    Feb 8, 2018

Greetings Hellen, this is James, one of the lenders. Since your business is selling kitchen items, you might consider also selling a few basic food items that are used in cooking every day, like flour, oil, salt, sugar, and such items. Those things are used all the time and are needed all the time, so why not have customers buy from you. Try a few items and see if they sell. Tell the customers you have them and display the items so that they can easily be seen as customers walk into your shop. You want the items to be noticed quickly. Take care and let me know if they sell good. Happy sales. James
