About Me

My name is Daniel. I live in Mombasa city having relocated here two years ago. I was born in central Kenya where I attended my primary and secondary school education. I then joined my brother who does business in Mombasa.

During my stay in Mombasa, I enrolled for a short course in computer applications where I learned a number of standard computer packages. I later did a course in video editing which later helped me a lot when I opened a studio slightly over a year ago.

My Business

After completing my course, m,y brother helped with some finances to start up a small studio where I do video editing work for my clients. The work entails working on raw video to an output that a client desires - usually in form of DVDs.

It is a fairly new business but through hard work, I have gained a number of clients. I want to build on this success to grow the business even bigger in the years to come. I am currently making about $150 per month after all the expenses are paid. This is the money that I use for my upkeep. I am hoping that this amount will keep growing with time.

Loan Proposal

My work entails editing videos using my computer. Occasionally, I also do video shooting where I sometimes go outdoors to do the recording. This requires that I power my camera using a battery which lasts for about 1 and a half hours. I need an extra battery that will allow me to do longer recordings between recharges.

This will increase my productivity and make my clients more satisfied. This battery will cost me around USD12 and I will get the extra money from my operating cash business.
