About Me

My name Daniel Ouma. I was born in 1990 in Nyanza region of Kenya. I went to school there and later came to Mombasa to live with my relatives while still looking for a job.

I am married with a 5 year old kid who has not figured out what he wants to be in future. I also take care of my nephew who is 13 years old.

I like to do community work through my church when time allows. This includes visiting and assisted the elderly, rehabilitating drug addicts and feeding street families in Mombasa town.

My Business

I in a peri-urban area where tap water is mostly scarce. Most people here depend on water vendors for their needs. I am such a vendor and I ferry water from the source to people's doors at a fee. I sell one 40 liter jerrycan for 20 cents. I can sell up 20 such jerry cans and make a profit of about 5 dollars per day.

It is a tough job but it feeds my family and other needs. I also do other menial jobs like carrying other goods at a fee.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to get yet another handcart. This is in readiness for a dry spell in a few months where my business picks up. I hope to increase my income from this business by 30% and also employ a helping hand in the business.

I look forward to paying my loan on time.
