I am a third born in a family of 6. we did not grow up very rich but my mum who was a business lady taught me that the little i have can change the world. I have always had passion for business and have been n the look out to have a business of my own.
I have loved baking ever since I can remember. It was my favourite pastime and when my pals started requesting for birthday cakes for their children i decided it was time to venture into this.
I have FOUR children aged 10, 8, 7, and 1. and they are the reason i smile all day. I have been running the bakery since 2014. My first zidisha loan helped to buy the an oven and a mixer.
Jambo Bread & Cakes is a baker located in Syokimau, Machakos County. It has been running for 2 years now. We do pastries like bread, scones, buns, and different cake varieties.
in general the income from the shop ranges from 40,000-60,000 on good months. my main expenses are rent, salaries for 4 employees, water and electricity.
I also have a Milk dispensing unit also locally called MILK ATM and sell about 100litres per day.
My products are in demand because the location of the business serves a total of 800 households living in apartment blocks that have 50 apartments each.
i will pay for the various licences. since i will be receiving only Sh500 from this I will top up and submit my applications for
health permits, county permits and dairy board licences for my new shop.
