About Me

My name is Bansy, a married mother of 1 child who is 2 years old. I was born in an area called Muranga in central Kenya. We are farmers in this area and every household in deeply involved in this activity where they produce food for their families and cash crops like coffee to sell.

I am involved in agribusiness where I have attended short courses in production of fast selling horticulture crops.

My Business

I mostly deal with production of horticulture crops such as capsicum, chilli and tomatoes. I have also kept a few chicken which produce eggs for sale.

I sell the produce in our main market and also to schools and hotels in my area. I hope to keep expand my farming so as to produce more. For this to happen, I need to get affordable credit and this is where Zidisha comes in.

Loan Proposal

I had a bountiful harvest last month and it coincided with the high demand for the produce due to end year festivities. I still need your support so as to increase my production through buying high quality seeds and fertilizer.

I will use the money to buy certified seeds of capsicum, coriander and eggplants. this will cost me around USD 10. I also need manure and fertilizer which will cost a further USD 20. the remaining balance will be used to buy pesticides and pay for labor.
