I am mercy oduor and l live in kabachia estate ,nakuru town nakuru county.I am in a fairly stable relationship with one kid .I sell second hand shoes a business i have done for a period from 2009.I am a diploma holder in business management from kenya institute of management. This educational backgound on marketing has helped me alot as i apply the skills acquired practically on my business applying the best practice in the for the satisfaction of my customers.I started the business because i saw the needs that people had for shoes and they could not afford the new ones from the shops so l started selling second hand shoes and the customers like them as they say they are long lasting and there is variety of the same.the earning from my the business I use to augment my business and make sure that my business remain afloat
my business in located at Maralal Road off Mburu Gichua Rd, Nakuru town nakuru county.
I sell second hand shoes of which l source from different suppliers in nairobi and some from nakuru.I source for variety that appeals to my customers as this is the reason as to why i have more customers than the competitors visiting my stall and getting shoes that they do appreciate and find value for their money.I make between ksh15000 to ksh 20000 per month.some of the risks that l exprience is sudden change of prices that come as a result of change of transport cost due to change in fuel cost. Zidisha funding will help me boost my earning as l will be able to add more stock and also open other outlets.
l want to thank my dear lenders and zidisha team for a chance of loans, when l get the money lam going to use in the following ways first lam going to buy ladies second hand shoes that is selling like bread at a cost of $400,l will also purchase children shoes that is fast moving at a cost of $300,l will also build more shelves to display this shoes at a cost of $50
the money that l get from selling this shoes lam going to expand my shoe business, pay school fees for my kid and improve my standard of living
