About Me

My name is Joseph I grew up in Eldoret, Kenya. Am third born in a family of six.I went to the city to look for employment where i am.i was forced to stay in the slum where life is affordable where i am to date. I have been doing casual works until 2014 when i started my business where am fully occupied in Eldoret town.
It has not been easy for me all this time through supporting 8 siblings 6 of whom are my late brothers'.My dream for the future is to have my own home that will accommodate my family and help my siblings see them through life where they will be independent. I hope this loan will help my business to expand and to able to be able to pay school fees for my kids. My family will prosper financially and educationally with this loan.

My Business

I specialize on selling tomatoes on a retail price. As a need in the community where tomatoes are scarce in this type of business where by as the only business i felt people will come more with the idea of selling more. Other sellers also joined in and i specialize with tomatoes only.
I started this business because of its uniqueness in specialization as well as making profit to support my family.
My biggest challenge is the season which changes and sometimes the price fluctuating. In a good day i make profits of upto $80 - $90 which i use to expand my business more and feed my family.
In future i want to be supplying in large scale to the community members and am proud off.

Loan Proposal

My biggest challenge is usually transportation of the tomatoes. Given the loan it will enable me buy 10 wooden boxes for the purpose of storage and transportation to the market which will cost me $ 360.These will enable me transport my produce safely to the market and avoid costs of hiring the same. The remaining $60 will be used to add stock of 30Kgs of tomatoes im targeting a weekly profit of US$60 x 4 = 240US$ per month.
