About Me

I come from a family of eight from the Western part of Kenya. I moved to Central Kenya to work as a Teacher to support my Education as well as that of my siblings. Am a graduate from Wayland Baptist University with a BA in Religion minor in English, Am also a trained Primary school teacher. I ventured in business to cater for my needs and promote my family to go through school. I want to expand my business by coming up with a modern shop offering internet services and selling books to curb the great appetite we have for knowledge in our nation. I believe that is through education that we can break the glass ceiling of poverty our nation.

My Business

I operate a film shop where i sell movies for local public performances, home viewing as well as educational ones used in schools and churches. These goods are in great demand since the world is changing very fast where information has become a pillar of economic drive. Many people prefer to watch a film to get the gist of something rather than the manual way of doing things. Students especially learn through this method more than when they read the same from the books due to the dwindling reading culture. Again not all people who can access or afford books and for those who can some don't know how to read and write.
I wish to expand this venture to be a library in one of the major towns to cater for college and university students, This will give opportunity to many who are willing to do research via the internet hence they cannot afford to secure a computer at home.
Currently, I earn an average of Ksh20,000 a month and I plan to triple the amount in the next few months. Given the loan i will be able to buy some computers to facilitate this promising venture. I pledge to abide by the stipulated rules in the servicing of the loan given. Am available to give more information when required to do so. Thanks in advance.

Loan Proposal

I need to raise the amount above to purchase a projector. The device will help me to teach people in seminars and conferences. A good Sony projector goes for close to ksh.60,000. I have already saved (ksh10,000) overhead amount required to secure one. Being a teacher, I am quite clear that I will also lend out the machine and get an extra coin from it. I have two pool tables which are helping me to pay for education for my siblings. I also intend to do full time teaching at the World Hope Changers Ministry which will be a challenge without the projector. I promise to repay the loan within the time proposed without fail. Please Loan me to help others. Thanks in advance.

Hi lenders. Am sad that our counterparts in the public schools have been on strike since schools opened on 1st this month, am worried of what will come of the learners countrywide, though teachers should be paid modestly.

Wow!I will be able to buy the cereals and the stationery needed in my school(Tigoni Baptist Academy). The items will help me be able to plan ahead and run the school effectively and efficiently without much worry. My children and staff will rest assured that the school will not close down along the way. Lenders , you are the greatest instruments used by God to deliver this help in terms of the loan you secured me. I highly appreciate the gesture. Thank you!!!

Kenyans today have awarded themselves an unmerited holiday just because the USA president will be in town tonight. I can't understand if this is okay to our economy. Major roads, banks and other businesses are to be closed as from midday through the weekend.

I was able to acquire the projector machine and the device is well utilized in school as well as in seminars that we are invited to preside over. Teaching is more fun and efficient. I am able to assist many other people to host symposiums and workshops at an affordable fee. My family life is a bit more comfortable though we look forward to greater things and expect to see our son to have a modest upbringing.

Working with zidisha is one of my greatest experiences that I say is timely and God sent. This is an opportunity of a life time and I believe that the team has led the pack while others shall have no option but to borrow a leaf to follow suit or be extinct with time. May the vision live with and beyond us. Appreciated your platform.

I was able to pay my staff two days ago amidst the challenges of parents not being able to pay the fees in time. I wish I had a truck to ferry kids to and from school. I could bring more kids to Tigoni Baptist Academy. ... this is a dream i have.

God is doing great things in my life. Am sure that the future is bright. Can anyone in Zidisha team inform me on how to join Forex trading?

Why do you want to join Forex trading?

      • Gerishom Kadiri    Jun 25, 2015

Roy. Am quite interested in working at home and doing the trade myself. Overtime, I have been doing partnerships with friends who turnout to cheat money out of me.I know it is time that I go alone apart from the school that I have rented. I want to do something that will enable me to be with my son as my wife joins University in a few months time. I believe that Forex trading will work for me and my family. What do you think?

I understand that Zidisha does not want to support such activities because of its speculative nature.
That aside, there are a number of things you should know. Basically, like share trading, it is a zero sum gain, for you to win, someone else will lose.....
To trade, you are bettíng against others that you are a better predictor of a number of things:
          1. What will happen in the future.
          2. How this event (or events) will impact upon what you are trading.
For Forex, what happens in one currency will impact on another. It is complicated, and (over time) you will not be able to out perform the big boys, who are smarter and have more resources than you. If people tell you they have made (any) money, they have been very lucky, or lying.. I doubt they would tell you they lost money, because they would not look very good.

          I suggest you avoid it....

Thank you Roy. You honestly answered my question. I have been trying to learn the trade without any success. I don't need to waste my hard earned resources. I better play it safe by avoiding it all together. No wonder I asked this openly. AM QUITE ALARMED BY HE TERM 'BETTING'. I don't like it. Appreciated a lot.

I am getting good returns from my ventures and an early clearance of the outstanding balance would enable me to get back to the lenders to get another loan to advance businesswise. Am looking forward to do exploits in other areas. Thank you zidisha for building and uplifting my potentialities.

Celestin Nzabonimana, James Mbatia and I have rented out Tigoni Baptist Academy's facilities for the next two years. We pray that this is a good God given opportunity that happens once in blue moon. Pray with us that we will get the so required resources to run this Academy to the next level.

It is quite amazing to me that i was able to send my sister back to school today using the little amount of my savings, This would have been a tall order if I never had your support. Kenya is now experiencing a drought season in most places and many people are facing the harsh reality of hunger....We have not yet received our February salaries up to now. I must confess that most of my colleagues are really suffering.I thank God that Zidisha has helped me to be out of that bracket. May this organization last forever.
