About Me

Am Kevin Owiti ID number 27568138,twenty five years of age,am the last born in a family
of nine seven boys and two ladies.
I hold a diploma in Information Communication Technology from Inoorero University, was employed
As the head of IT from April 2013 till August 2013 when I decided to get into business full time
I decided to get into the business due low payment and there was no room for growth in the company
That’s when I decided to start a cyber café with the money I had saved during the time I was employed
Right now I have 10 computers and I have employed 2 people in my business ,am still looking forward to expand to other places of the country ,the profit I made from the business help me in paying my school fees and rent.
In line with the government policies of providing every child with laptops in the whole country I a position my business to be establish in the rural areas of Kenya to tap in the need of people to use ICT.

My Business

Kenya is the hub of ICT in east and central Africa and the government is also taping into it by introduction of fiber optic cable which is fast and reliable to most of the citizens in country.
am planning to pay back the money two installments of 4000
with 10% of the total amount given.
My cyber café business is situated in a busy Nairobi town where daily we get customers from all over
The country that comes to get essential services from government offices, my business provide scanning
Of documents, printing, internet. Which is essential for the common man in Kenya, we make about
Ksh2000 per day and on a good day we can make ksh5000 per day.
I would love to expand my business by purchasing more computers with the loan .am a very hard working person who can be relied on to pay back the loan if given.
One computer (desktop cost ksh13000) so if I can add one computer from the loan given I can generate
Ksh 200 or more from one computer that will just pay the loan in 40days.

Loan Proposal

My cyber is doing very well thanks to zidisha org for the help they have a corded my business .my business has help me to educate myself, but I still want the help of the organization to improve my business and life .
I want to expand my business premise to accommodate more computers and more customers .
I currently have 15 computers in my businesses premise in Nairobi but I want to have 20 computers by the end of the year so as to increase my customers in terms of numbers and revenue for my business .
I would love zidisha to help me purchase 1 second hand computer at 10000 that am planning to set up for games for kids
Which will be closing schools in two weeks time for December holidays
Am planing to set at least two computers for the children under the age of 15years to play games at my cyber and charge them ksh20 for each game played that always last for 10minutes. But am targeting at least 30 kids daily
If I can be funded to buy one more computer I would have increased my customer intake and that will also increase my revenue.
Am planing to pay back ksh500 every end of the week.
