About Me

I am Joan Oduma , I am the third born in our family of 4 children,My dad passed on when I was 11 years and there after my mom had to take care of us. I worked hard in both primary and secondary school and went for my dream carrier of clothing, textile and interior design.
After college my desire was to open my own interior design company but I was not able to raise enough capital . I lucky got a job and worked for one year ,with $600 savings I decided to resign and established a tailoring workshop.my business model was to produce quality clothing in bulk and sell them to my customers.I have achieved a lot but the growth pace is still wanting since due to lack of capital.
In our community we always hold culture weeks to learn more about our culture and integrate the children into the community cultures ,the week is always very interesting and I always attend them.
I love innovation and creativity and always dream big,I am a go getter who always works hard to achieve my dreams however difficult the situation may seem like.

My Business

I make and design new cloths as well as provide interior design services for houses. I design nice cloths and also make cloths according to taste and preferences of my customers.
The demand for my cloth and services are high because I offer quality goods and services at very fair and affordable prices.
I choose these business because it has great opportunities for growth and the profit margins are good.
my monthly typical costs are $300-$400 and most of the money goes into purchase of materials and paying power bills.my average income per month is $600-700 per month. Use the money to reinvest in the business and help my family and friends in need.

Loan Proposal

I thank zidisha for accepting my request to join the zidisha family. I would like to beg you honorable ladies and gentlemen to help raise my loan of $100 so that I can purchase a good quality electric iron both that I would use for ironing my cloths.I am currently using hired services and i pay $0.1 per piece of cloth ,that has eaten into my profits and I am now buying an iron box and would hire one person to assist me,these would help me save $120 per month.
Thank you for reading.
