About Me

Cosmos Owusu is my name. I come from berekum in the brong ahafo region. I attended school at senase D/A primary and JHS. From there i went to berekum senoir high school. By the grace of God i did very well in the final exams. My parent are also farmers so all my school way financed by them. Sometimes after school i join them in the farm. I went to teacher training school after SHS and now am a teacher by profession. With all my hard work i now have a cocoa farm. I have people who are still working in the farm sometimes after school i join them in the farm. The uniqueness about my land is , is very good for crop production and organic as well.

My Business

I started my farm when i was in senior high school and is cocoa farm. Cocoa is use for so many things like Milo, cocoa batter, chocolate, cocoa drinks and etc. It is also exported to so many countries for different purposes . I chose this kind of business because all my family members including my parent are farmers.So they use to send us alone to farm and i developed the interest in farming when i was a child. Although am a teacher but my typical cost is not much that is why i am seeking for loan from zidisha to purchase fertilizers and pesticides for my cocoa farm. The pest will affect the yield when is been ignored. pesticides therefore will enable me to fight this pest in order to increase yield. Also the fertilizers will boot the cocoa trees to bare much fruits which will increase export for Ghana and much revenue will be generated

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy fertilizer for my cocoa farm. I will also buy other chemicals to protect pests from destroying my cocoa pots. Every year we are suppose to spray the cocoa for about four times or more by so doing the cocoa will be well protected and produce more. That is why i need the loan to help me spray the farm regularly . This will help me to expand my business that is the cocoa farm and employed more people to work. I will also get money to feed my family. So if i get $100, my profit will increase to 70 percent.
