My names are Edward Kuria and I come from Subukia centre. I am a primary school leaver who didi my KCPE in the year 2004 but was not lucky to attend secondary education due to lack of school fees and therefore decided to start a business. I am married and a father of one. I do milling business. I.e. I grind maize to produce flour to the residents. I also own a charcoal business where my wife is in charge. When you reach at Subukia town you can ask Jorums Posho mill and you will be directed to the place and on reaching there ask for Kuria. It is along the road so easy to recognize the place.
My business is maize milling &charcoal Business. In my business am able to make a total income of 1000 shilling in a day. When I less my expenditures in a day am able to get a profit of an average of 400 shillings in a day. In addition the charcoal business gives about 600 in a day and when I less the expenditure such as the buying cost of the charcoal and the house rent I get about 200 shillings in one bag. In a day am able to sell one and a half bag of charcoal thus giving a daily profit of 300 shilling for charcoal. In total I get about 500 shillings in a day. This translates to about 13,000 shillings in one month.
First I would like to appreciate and thank you very much for this third opportunity you have given to me. I will use the money funded to me by the lenders to increase the stock of my business. I will also buy more charcoal to sustain my clients needs since we are heading to a a rainy season and the charcoal business will be doing well at that season. so I want to start stocking charcoal in preparation for the season.Thank you very much lenders for your kind heart to help those who do not have enough capital to stock their business. May God Bless you all.
