About Me

My name is Faith Wangechi Muriithi. I am a mother of 4. All of my adult life, I have been working to make sure my children have the best in life.
Despite all the difficulties along the way, my husband and I managed to take them all through University through business and employment. Currently, we are running a small animal feeds shop in our home.

My Business

After retirement, we opened a small animal feeds shop in our home town. Baricho town is in rural Kenya, Kirinyaga County where most of the people get their daily income from farming. An animal feeds shop, therefore, came in handy for the local population.

Supa Stores Agrovet is open 12 hours during weekdays and Saturdays and during the afternoon on Sundays. We like to be available to our clients when they need us. During the duration we have been open, there have been a few challenges some of them being, clients have specific types of feeds they like to feed their livestock. Sometimes, the exact brand needed is not available immediately. We would like to curb these challenge by stocking our shop so that our clients have whatever they need at the convenient time for them.

Loan Proposal

With the proceeds from the last loan, I added M-Pesa services to my shop. M-Pesa is a mobile money transfer service from Safaricom. In addition to buying animal feeds, clients can now deposit, send or withdraw money from my shop. For my M-Pesa to be successful, I need to have cash as well as enough float to enable me to increase the number of transactions.
Currently, I make a maximum of 15 transactions per day because I do not have enough float to deposit large amounts of money for clients. I would love to increase my M-Pesa float so some clients do not feel shut out.
With a loan of 38614, I would use approximately 200 USD to increase my M-Pesa float. With the other 180 USD, I would like to buy an additional 180 kg of layers' mash at 60 USD and 180 kg of chicks' mash at 60 USD. I will then re-package this and sell to clients according to the amount they are willing and able to purchase. This would cost me approximately 120 USD. I would then use the remaining 60 USD to facilitate cash transactions for the M-Pesa services and to repaint the shop Green as required for M-Pesa shops.
I request lenders to kindly fund my loan. If granted this loan, I promise to show the same commitment in paying my loan as with the previous loans.
Thank you.
