About Me

Fund Improved local breed chicken rearing business.
From the photo that's the house I am constructing to start with... coz of financial constraints

My Business

Most youth consider poultry farming as an endeavor for retireesand country folks. I want to prove them wrong and even pull them towards doing the same. I am very passionate about farming since learning that wealth is hidden in the ground.... Currently, taking on Egg production but would wish to involve these three different niches
Egg production (Layers breeding)
Meat production (Broilers breeding)
Chicken breeding (Hatchery)
. Have enough land to practice it in large scale...
Planning to construct battery cages which have the plan drawn already.
Am also yet to acquire these equipment needed, Feeders
Drinkers
Perches
Nests
Crates
Lighting system
Waste disposal system
Incubator
Heaters or brooders
Egg tray
Cages and coops

    Dear Louis,

During your next loan request, please post a photo of yourself at the top of your profile. (This is a Zidisha requirement). The photo needs to clearly show your entire face, preferably smiling, and preferably taken at the location of the project for which you are requesting a loan.

The photo currently in that top spot, you can move to a lower spot on your Discussion page, along with a comment about it for your lenders.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

This type of farming has a longer pay back period thus the help I receive must channel to productive causes for I know it will eventually pay.
I added some cash and purchased this small cage.... But hopefully over time I will be able to acquire everything needed from equipment, labor feeds, to vaccines etc.
I therefore once again very grateful full for the last loan and plead that you walk with me through this journey until I will be able to give back to the society.
    Merci. Merci.... Beacoup

    To my sponsor.
I just wanted to write to let you know how much I appreciate the positive influence you've had on my project since started giving the loan. I am very positive that the project will grow having strong pillars like you around. Thank you for your concern & I’ll be forever grateful.
I bought a small layers cage even though I am planning to get others as we grow together.

Once again I am incredibly fortunate to have someone like you in my life.

After leading a life of hand to mouth in Nairobi, Kenya's capital for several years, I decided to venture into an agribusiness back in the country, after I relocated to the rural. I started poultry farming with 20 hens and a cock. Today it has grown to 67 only three months down line. I want to establish my business and eventually help the society, especially sickle cell patients in the area. if funded well, I will be able to produce and supply more than 500 eggs a day at work 75 . I have the plan having dropped out of university in my 3rd year studying business administration
