About Me

I was brought up in a family of four two girls and two boys and I was the last born . I was able to go through primary education and secondary education where I archied a good grade . After secondary school I didnt go to any college although I always wanted to train in electronic repair.
I moved to the capital Centre Nairobi where I was introduced into business by my cousin and through my savings and help of zidisha and other lenders I started a clothing business.
The business is growing well despite some challenges here and there

My Business

I started my business with men and small children clothing which includes kakis jeans shirts jackets and others. I has grown well and am now able to sell ladies trousers and others .I chose clothing business since clothing is a basic need and its also a way of fashion to many of the people. Most of my profits go back to my business . I use it in adding new varieties and designs so as to make sure my customers get satsfied and gets what they want. I also have to save a little amount due to my future and my family.

Loan Proposal

I planning to purchase jeans for small boys and girls . since we are heading to christmas where sales of children clothing is high I need to have a good stock .. the jeans cost between 3 to 5 dollars each where I will have to sell them at 7 to 9 dollars makinga a good profit. I expect my profit to increase with about 15% and I will be very thankful to my lenders.

    Hi Martin,
Please make an effort to repay your loan. You have had a good record with Zidisha so far, by paying late you loose faith with the lenders. If you are have difficulty, let us know in a discussion, we all understand that things happen in life and business. Zidisha gives you the opportunity to reschedule your repayments, please look into this option so you can borrow again in the future. Regards, Margaret

Today I was sampling on the teams with high support on areas near where I do business. This will help me in knowing the jersies which I can make good sales on . I want to try out Brazil Germany Spain France Egypt Nigeria and Argentina. For the african teams I have not got them yet but the others are available where I will be purchasing them at 3dollars (300kes)each and selling them at 6dollars(600kes) or even higher . I know I will get a good profit on them since Iam sure of making a profit of 100%each.

World cup is here. In our country Kenya many people like watching football . I have an idea of selling football jersies especially of the teams participating in world cup. I have been doing a research on their prices where I have come to know they cost between 3dollars(300kes) and 5dollars(500kes) each depending on the quality. If I can be able to purachase the ones costing 3dollars(300kes) each I will be able to sell them at 100% profit that is 6dollars(600kes )each or even higher . Am sure I can make a good profit before the world cup comes to an end. The profits wil help me in repaying Zidisha loan and boosting my business . If the jersies give me a good profit I will think about selling jersies of leagues like EPL ,laliga and others since there are many football supporters in Nairobi city. Thank you leders for your time and concern .

My past loan payent record was poor due to political crises which made my business go down . As per now the busines is doing well and I have been able to add different varieties of clothing to my stall. Am planning to buy small children jackets due to the cold weather which we are experiencing now. When I get the loan I will invest on buying the jackes which I know will give a good profit an I will be able to pay the loan on time . Am thanking all the lenders for the good job they are doing mostly helping the youths in geting into business and have their basic needs catered for . Thank you alot Zidisha.

    Hi Martin,
It is very important to get your repayment rate up, this will help to get your loans funded. Lenders expect to be paid back and the repayment rate helps lenders decide who to lend too. You sound like a hard worker and a good businessman who can grow with Zidisha, perhaps opening another shop or adding another business to diversify. Zidisha is a powerful tool when used correctly to help grow businesses. Best of luck to you. Regards, Mary

I purchased small children tracksuits which are more attractive to customers . I have been able to sell them at good profits and my plan of adding more varieties will be succesful with the help of the profits made.
Due to their smart colours and designs they make my stall neat and attract customers who end up in buying many items from my stall.
