About Me

I am called Richard Chemwa Simiyu a Kenya Citizen living in Western
Province; Kakamega County; Likuyani Sub-county; Likuyani Ward;
Seregeya Sub-location; Imbinga Village. A father of Nine children and
husband to Mrs. Edith Kamonya. I am a member of various groups for
socialization.
Am self-employed on my farm and a Church leader facilitating Christian
trainings to all the church leaders within the Nation. Am a small
scale farmer doing dairy farming and growing some grains for family
consumption. Planning to diversify my activities. I have a one hectare
land that I want to develop to improve my income.

My Business

My primary business is doing agribusiness through dairy farming
keeping two dairy Cows and two dairy goats for my daily income.
I decided to be a dairy farmer because of the low dairy production in
the area that is not sufficient to present demand. The goat milk is
not available and has been proved to be medicinal to the HIV AIDS
victims making it to fetch a reasonable amount of money per litre. The
goats are easily managed by people with small farms and can allow you
to do other things comfortably. I would wish to build an improved
housing for the goats and the Rabbits which are on high demand. So
your kind financial support will enable me put up the shelters hence
improving the production to increase my income. I have found that
Zidisha Micro-finance will play a big role in making me realize my
goal of diversification. Thank you in advance for the wise ideas.
