About Me

I am called Richard Chemwa Simiyu a Kenya Citizen living in Western
Province; Kakamega County; Likuyani Sub-county; Likuyani Ward;
Seregeya Sub-location; Imbinga Village. A father of Nine children and
husband to Mrs. Edith Kamonya. I am a member of various groups for
socialization.
Am self-employed on my farm and a Church leader facilitating Christian
trainings to all the church leaders within the Nation. Am a small
scale farmer doing dairy farming and growing some grains for family
consumption. Planning to diversify my activities. I have a one hectare
land that I want to develop to improve my income.

My Business

My primary business is doing agribusiness through dairy farming
keeping two dairy Cows and two dairy goats for my daily income.
I decided to be a dairy farmer because of the low dairy production in
the area that is not sufficient to present demand. The goat milk is
not available and has been proved to be medicinal to the HIV AIDS
victims making it to fetch a reasonable amount of money per litre. The
goats are easily managed by people with small farms and can allow you
to do other things comfortably. I would wish to build an improved
housing for the goats and the Rabbits which are on high demand. So
your kind financial support will enable me put up the shelters hence
improving the production to increase my income. I have found that
Zidisha Micro-finance will play a big role in making me realize my
goal of diversification. Thank you in advance for the wise ideas.

Loan Proposal

I want to complete the housing for the goats and buy feeds for them. This will make the goats comfortable and increase the production of Goat milk and also be a demonstration site for others who want to venture into the activity. Things to purchase:
1. Timber - Roofing 60ft. = $ 15.0
- 12x1x26ft. = $ 11.0
- Off - cuts 28pcs. = $ 35.0
2. Poles 6 ---------------------- = $ 7.0

    Dear Zidisha,
I am writing to express my gratitude for the way you have handled me despite having defaulted seriously. Just to let know that I have had lots of ups and downs for a considerable time. Am now looking into the possibility to resume my relationship with Zidisha to assist in my financial needs to revive my business partnership. Am working on the completion of payments for the previous loan arrears and will be updating you on the progress regularly.
    Thanks in advance,
    Richard.

    Dear Zidisha,
I am writing to just urge you to forgive and bear with me. The issue is not having to review the payment plan but I have had continuous family issues that needed my great attention to the point of being unable to honor my obligation.
But I am now getting through and I promise to take charge soon.
    Sorry for the inconveniences caused.
    With humility
    Richard

I am happy to express my satisfaction with Zidisha plan of lending. The loan I received enabled me to start my plan to improve the shelter for the Goat. My next loan will enable me complete the structure and be able to send the photo of the house. I have the confidence that zidisha will be of great help to me in making my dreams of diversification a reality by being able to produce more goat milk. This will increase my income. Also I plan to start a paultry keeping after completing the Goat project in my future loans. Thank you and God bless all.

I appreciate the loan that has been disbursed to me. This gives me an opportunity to start the plans to built a shelter for my dairy goat. To start with I am able to purchase some hardware materials i.e. Iron Sheets, Nails both ordinary and roofing nails. Though the actual money send to me could not complete the shelter, I am certain and happy that the work has started and will get completed properly when I receive the next loan after repaying the present loan. Will keep you appraised on time. God bless you.
