About Me

Hi. Am Peter and am an online freelancer/outsourcing services provider. I love social entrepreneurship, using what I have to help others help themselves. Before becoming an online freelancer, I owned a small leather goods business where I used to make leather products by hands like belts and sandals, and sell them to people and businesses in wholesale and retail. Due to the capital intensive nature of the business, it eventually became too hard to sustain as I was wholly reliant on it for my upkeep and that of my family.

In November 2015, I came across someone in a matatu (public service vehicle)
who told me about online freelancing and introduced me to www.fiverr.com. I realized that I could apply my college education into being an online freelancer but I couldn't start because I didn't even have a computer or laptop. I had to shelve the idea until a month later when by some miracle a lady friend who had luckily gone to Australia to work and live called me and asked me how she could help me (she knew I was facing hard times, am an orphan, having lost our single mum back in 2009) and i told her about the online work and how I didn't have a laptop to start working. She sent me $250 which is how I got a laptop and started offering "essay/academic writing" services on fiverr.com

4 years down the line, I now exclusively offer podcast management services, podcast guest booking services, virtual assistant services, and other tailored services., among others.

4 months ago, I rented a small space where I want to start teaching underprivileged and unemployed people who are mostly living in abject poverty how to do work online. So far I have not been able to start my operations since I don't have enough funding. I only have 2 computer monitors and hope that I can with time save enough to buy 2 CPUs. That way I will start helping people, 2 at a time and in the long term I hope to positively impact 2,000 people which will translate to 4,000+ lives

My Business

You can find my services at https://www.upwork.com/fl/peterw602

I now exclusively offer podcast management services, podcast guest booking services, virtual assistant services, and other tailored services. I plan to raise enough funding to turn what I do into a social enterprise that will help people how to be online freelancers or get work in the digital work arena. I have previously spoken to Samasource USA to partner with them in getting digital work for the people that I train. Right now, I already have 3 complete computers that are operational and I would like to get 3 more. I already have enough space where I currently work from

Loan Proposal

I will buy one CPU for the planned training center I want to start for training the unemployed and underprivileged in my community in computer applications and digital work so they can employ themselves and get jobs in the outsourcing industry.
It will cost Kshs. 8,000 so I will add my own savings onto the 6,125 that am borrowing now.

The training will be at a very subsidized fee of Kshs. 500 and there is so far no such training in Kenya. In the end I hope to have 2 computers to start with which will enable me to train at least 12 people per month. That's 12 lives that will be impacted every month

Thank you in advance for your support. You are awesome!

The installment amount of (Kshs. 1,400 or $14 a week) is too high for now as i just got the loan and havent been able to buy what i need yet to put it to use in generating income. The amount is also way too high based on the income i make from my online freelancing as of now. But i will definitely pay my loan on time as always

    Dear lenders,

I have received my loan amount of Kshs. 8,698 and will proceed to buy another computer CPU. This will enable me to train at least 3 more people every month to increase the impact of the computer applications training that will enable the people I train to proceed on to free Digital Work training that will equip them with the skills they need to work in the Business Process Outsourcing industry OR employ themselves through the online freelancing world. So far so good, thanks to your support

I love your work on the robotic arm. Fascinating. I do online freelancing on the side on www.fiverr.com/jijital and I am also developing a website to launch tomorrow www.faith-outsourcing.com
My work with the training center is based on eventually helping people earn a living the way I do online or for outsourcing companies all the world. If you can help me network with companies, organizations, etc that can use some of my services, that would be great. I hope to create numerous jobs for the underprivileged in my community

Hello dear lenders. Last time I got a loan of Ksh. 6,800 which i used to buy one CPU to fit one of my computer monitors. I started teaching computer applications to young people from my small, right now I have just the one computer and I ahve so far successfully trained 4 people who i then linked to Samasource Digital School so they could advance their knowledge and learn how to do digital work. That training will enable them to get jobs at Samasource or any other outsourcing company here in Kenya. With the training they will also be able to become online freelancers. I need this next loan of Kshs. 12,000 so I can add on to my own Kshs. 3,000 and buy 2 CPUs so I increase my capacity to train more people. I am charging just Kshs. 2,000 per person which is much lower than the current Kshs. 3,500 that people pay at other computer applications training centers. That enables me to serve the most underprivileged in the community so they can get gainful and marketable skills which will enable them to get jobs they can rely on for their daily bread. Your support so far has been amazingly helpful. Thank you very much

Dear Lenders. Due to your support and kindness, I was able to get the CPU i needed from Kshs. 7,500 (Kshs. 6,125 from the loan and added Kshs. 1,375). I also got the software i needed to set it up and running so I can start training at least 2 people a day (each for 3 hours per day). I am very grateful. Your support will not only enable me to improve my family income but will also help me make a difference in the lives of so many unemployed youth. Thank you

Hi dear lenders. I have just received my loan today. We have repeat presidential elections in the tomorrow the 26th of October 2017 and even though the political climate here has negatively affected business and everything else, we hope that after tomorrow all will well so we can get back to normal.

I will not be able to go to Nairobi to buy the CPU until next week when hopefully things will have settled down.

Thank you again for funding my loan and enabling me to achieve my goals. God bless you

My dear lenders. Thanks you funding my current loan. Once I receive it, i will buy one computer CPU which will include a keyboard. I will then get the necessary software from a friend. The only thing i will need to buy is Kaspersky Antivirus which I will buy from my savings. So far so good. With your support, my social enterprise will not only begin to grow but also make a huge difference in the lives of many young people and women

Dear lenders. Here are the 2 computer monitors (photos attached) that now I now have in addition to the mouse that i bought with the first loan. The silver color monitor is the one i just bought with the previous loan that you so graciously funded for me. These kinds of monitors and all other computer accessories, are available here in Kenya and they are always refurbished items from the US or UK so that's why as you can see they are not the same color or brand. One is Dell and the other is HP but once I buy the required 2 CPUs, they will function very well in training the people who need that training the most.

Just to update you further, I now have the space from where the training will be based, I have one mouse, 2 computer monitors, a table that will be enough to hold 4 computers, and 2 seats. So far so good and with your help I know we will be up and running soon.

Thank you for believing in me and my business/cause

Hi dear lenders. First of all, you guys are totally awesome! I can't believe the much I have been able to achieve so far. Step by step and soon I will have the training center up and running. I bought the other computer monitor on Friday the 13th October 2017 (will attach the photo tomorrow of the 2 monitors I now have). I have also managed to pay the loan in full today since I got my online work earning today (it was a fairly good amount). I covered all my bills and family expenses, and had enough left to clear the loan. In the next loan, I will organized myself well so i can use it to buy 2 CPUs to use with the two monitors

With 2 computers, i will train 12 people per month (these will be disadvantaged, unemployed and low-income youth and women in my community). Your support will make a big positive impact in the lives of the people who really need help so they can be able to fend for themselves and their families. Thank you very much for your support
