About Me

I am a Moi University graduate and I stay in Nairobi, Komarock. I am an online entrepreneur but with a growing passion for the fashion world. For the last 3 years, I have been earning my living through blogging, article writing, ebook writing and academic writing.

In fact, the first loan you guys gave me elevated my online business to a new level and enabled me to start a boutique business, which will be the focus of my application.

I was able to respond to requests from different clients regarding creating different online products such as ebooks, PowerPoint presentations, guides, and tutorials. I was also able to engage in intensive marketing that saw a growth in my website visitors and customers as well.

Profits from my online business enabled me to start a boutique business at Daystar University (main Campus). This boutique deals with the sale of dresses, ladies’ shoes, and jewellery.

This business has been operating for the last two months and so far the demand is rising. Customers are now asking for new products such as T-shirts, hand bags, laptop bags, trousers, and other shoe types/designs.

Therefore, lenders, please help me raise more money to purchase these new items for my boutique business so as to put a smile on the face of my customers. More details are in ‘about your business’ section. Thanks in advance!

My Business

As aforementioned in my story, I run an online business dealing with blogging, article writing, ebook writing and academic writing. The second business is a boutique shop, which stocks dresses, ladies’ shoes, tops, and jewellery (earrings, necklaces, and bracelets). This business has been operation for two months now and so far, there’s great potential for growth.

Most customers are asking for items that I don’t sell such as T-shirts, hand bags, laptop bags, trousers, and other shoe types/designs. If funded, I’ll be able to purchase these items on whole sale and meet the growing demand.

My edge over my competitors is that while they sell second hand items at high prices, I stock my shop with trendy, new, and attractive products that suit the ultra modern campus student. This attracts more customers to my shop every day.

I buy ladies’ shoes and dresses and at $5 each and sell at $9-$10 each. I buy fashionable tops at $3 an sell at $5 each. Additionally, I buy jewellery items at a wholesale price of $2 per piece and sell them at $4 each. On average, I make a percentage profit of 80% to 100% per item.

The average sales per month amount to $225. Rent costs $56, salary for shop attendant is $67 and electricity costs $5. Therefore, my monthly net profit amounts to $97. If I add more stock and the new products, this is likely to grow by about 30% in the next two months. Please help me achieve this goal.

Loan Proposal

Thanks in advance lenders for considering my application!

Through my blog, earnsmartonline.com, I have been receiving many questions from people regarding different ways to make money online and most of them are ready to pay for a guide/tutorial that can answer their questions effectively. I would to use this loan to acquire software and tools that can help me create some high quality guides in form of ebooks and videos. I wish to sell each ebook for $29.

I also wish to create a membership site where people can subscribe at a fee and access dozens of different ebooks and videos on making money online. People will join my membership site at a registration fee of $5 (low enough to attract many members) but pay a monthly renewal fee of $15.

With over 2000 subscribers on my email list, I already have potential buyers for my membership service and the ebooks. I will also use the money to market the ebooks and subscription service on high traffic sites by paying to place ads on those sites.

I also wish to train 10 affiliate marketers to start marketing them for me. The demand is already there, so i expect to make sales and repay the loan as soon as possible.

Thanks a bunch for your support!

Hi lenders. I would like to reduce the installment amount to sh. 250 so that I repay the loan with ease. I believe by doing this, I will not lag behind in repayments like it has been in my recent repayments. I will try as much as possible not to delay with repayments again. I wish to keep my repayment score high and I believe by reducing the installment amount, I will be able to achieve this. Thanks for understanding

Hi lenders. I hope this finds you well. I hereby request a change in my repayment schedule from Saturdays to Fridays. Therefore, my next installment should come in on Sep 19. This is because of a slight adjustment in my cash flow and I will therefore be comfortable with submitting the amount on Fridays. Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Zidisha team. I would like to request that i be allowed to reschedule my payment to Wednesdays rather than on Saturdays. I will be more comfortable to send payments on Wednesday starting September 3. I promise to keep my repayment rate at the top. Thanks a lot for your understanding and support in helping us the entrepreneurs.

Hi lenders. I would wish to reschedule my payment to Fridays now. That means I will send the next payment on July 25. I figure out, this will enable me to make weekly payments without any strain. By the way, my business is picking up pretty well thanks to the Zidisha lenders. Looking forward to give better reports here! I hope to adhere to the new repayment schedule right away and never miss a single payment. Thanks a lot for your understanding and unceasing support!

HI lenders. I am glad to let you know the money you lend me is really boosting my business. To ensure that I don't miss any single repayment, I hereby request to change my repayment day from Saturday to Wednesday. That means, my next repayment will be July 9. That's the time I expect to get money and repay. Zidisha team, kindly help me adjust the repayment schedule accordingly. Thanks for understanding.

Hi Zidisha team. I would like to request that you allow me to repay the loan on Monday, May 19. My reason for the change is a delay in the payments i receive from my business that should help me to repay the loan. Please reschedule so that i be paying this on Mondays instead of Fridays. So far, I must say I am really grateful to you lenders for your full support. Thanks!

Hi. Kindly allow me to change my repayment schedule from Mondays to Thursdays. The reason is my clients send payments on Fridays and it has to take 3 business days before i withdraw and so Thursdays will work for me. So, please allow me to send this week's installment on April 3 (Thursday). I promise to stick to this new schedule and not miss a single repayment.
Thanks in advance for your consideration!

Hi. Sorry, I was unable to start repaying my loan which was due yesterday, March 7. The reason is i thought i had suggested to be paying on Saturdays instead of Fridays is it currently is. Kindly allow me to be repaying on Mondays starting March 10. I would like to repay the loan with the same weekly amount as in the first case. Thanks for considering my reschedule request.
