About Me

I am the second born in a family of eight. My parents are peasant farmers who by feeding us with a meal is luck because it is hard to get one. I have undergone my O levels and college education where it was so difficult for me to be in school throughout. I had to work for four days in a week to raise my education fee and go to class the rest week days. It reached somewhere that I couldn't be able to go to class again and became a street boy for sometime. In my family i am the breadwinner hence i must work extra harder to meet my families and my needs.
I successfully opened a small kiosks way back in 2010. I used to sell animal feeds only but since i joined Zidisha i have been dealing with animal feeds and mineral licks.

My Business

My business has got a title by name Stop-over Agrovet. It is situated in Kigumo town Kiambu County, in Kenya. In my business I have employed one person whom we work with I buy several bags of animal feeds and sell them by either the whole bag or by measuring it into kilograms. In our area daily farming is our economic activity hence making the product to move at a high speed. I buy 10 bags of animal feeds in a week at a cost of 25,000/= and sell them in the same week at a cost of 30,000/= making a profit of 5,000/= a week and in month time pocketing 30,000/= profit. I also sell mineral licks in my business.
If i expound on this figures i am capable of making good profit annually. Am now focused on expanding my business on higher heights and open up other related business branches in my neighbouring village. I also would like to introduce dairy related products and make my business a dairy farming hub for all farmers. Since I joined zidisha, I have grown economically because from the loans I had previously applied from zidisha have helped restock my business. I will be glad if Zidisha Microlending Movement will consider my proposal and fund my business.

Loan Proposal

Thank you lenders and zidisha for giving me this opportunity to write my loan proposal. I will always be greatful. Good lenders, I have presented my loan for funding. I am applying for a loan of USD 530. Because you will fund my business, I will do as follows;
1. Purchase 2*10kgs of dairy premix at a cost of USD 150. This are high concentrates that are fed to dairy cows to produce more milk. I will sell it at a cost of USD 170 making a profit of USD 20.
2. Purchase 10 bags of high yield dairy meal at a cost of USD 150 and selling it at a cost of USD170 making a profit of USD 20.
3. Purchase 10 bags of wheat bran at a cost of USD 100 and selling it at USD 120 making a profit of USD 20.
4. Purchase 6 bags of maize germ at a cost of USD 72 and sell it at USD 84 making USD 12 as profit from its sale.
5. Purchase 10 bales of very high quality hay at USD 23. I' be selling it at USD 25 pocketing USD 2 as profit.
6. I will use USD 5 for transportation of the goods.
7. With USD 30, I will buy a pedigree heifer calf to start my own farm and it shall be called zidisha farm.
From the total sale of the products I will have made good profit. Hoping of doing business without giving credit, I will be able to restock, pay my loan installments in time, pay my employee and assist my siblings. The above all products will provided balanced diet to animals hence more milk and more customers.
I now kindly request you zidisha lenders give me a loan of 530 USD in order to make my dreams of having a better agrovet and starting a farm be real. I do promise to repay all my installments. Kind request, thank you.
