About Me

My name is Bernice Agyei Yeboah. I am the second born to my parents and I am twenty –four years. I had my elementary education at St. Mary’s Junior High School and continued my secondary education in Sunyani Senior High School. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is the school I had my Tertiary education where I studied my language and culture. Currently I have completed National service of which I had it with Techiman Senior High School in my region.
I have interest in culture a lot due to this, during my period of National service I was able to mobilize students, train them for inter school’s competitions. It was a challenge to me as a newly posted personnel, I had to mobilize students and trained them for such competitions. With hard work, determination and perseverance, we succeeded by taken the first position in Drama in English and also took the first runner up in the Poetry Recital. With this achievement, it has helped the school to officially establish a school cultural troupe.
After completing my National Service, I hoped for an immediate employment by the government and the private sectors but did not get employed since the government of Ghana has put a band on graduates’ employment. I therefore decided to set up business of my own. With the help of some family members and friends I was able to raise funds to start this business.
The society I come from is blessed with natural resources such as minerals, forest and many other interesting types of scenery like the waterfalls and some forest reserves. What keeps the society in peaceful co-existence is the unique sense of belongingness.

My Business

I am a young graduate who have established a business and need financial assistance to ensure the sustainability and growth of this business.
I rented a space of which I pay GH₵80 equivalent to US$20 a month excluding my utility bills. I pay GH₵20 which is equivalent to US$5 as electricity bill each month. I make between GH₵80 to GH₵100 each month equivalent to US$20 to US$25 as a profit. I need to buy more assets in other to expand the profit margin so that it can cater for my rent bills and other utility bills to enable me sustain the business and expand it as well.
The reason I am into this kind of business is that, education is of key interest to me and for that matter anything that supports or improves education is of much interest to me. This business of mine is located near schools therefore I aid them in any form of printing materials needed. I type and print materials needed by the schools. This has really enabled me sharpened my typing skills. I also sell stationaries such as exercise books, note books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and many other learning materials. This also fetches me additional income but is not enough to keep the business running.
I would be very grateful if my proposal is considered.

Loan Proposal

I would like to use my second loan to by two Desktop computers to start Cybercafe.
The cost of one Desktop computer would cost between GH 300 to GH 400 which is equivalent to US $ 100 to US $ 130.
There is no cybercafe in and around my business location. The demand for it gets higher each day. The computer i use for printing becomes the same computer i use to serve them when they really want to go online.
So far as the demand for this service is high, i would be able to generate more income to cater for my other expenses such as the utility bills and also expand the business.
I am with much hope that this loan application would be funded soon.
Thanks.

I have visited Bernice at her business office recently. Dear lenders she doesn't only need your patience but also support. She will need another loan to rejuvenate her business after such a turbulent time in her business. She will survive this and will need more support from you to keep her going. I have no doubt in my mind she will succeed

Hello everyone. There has been a lot of issues lately which has affected the business environment in Ghana and Bernice has had her fair share of these. Also technical issues have affected the system being used in updating us in Ghana. This has resulted in many discrepancies in payment schedules. However I am committed to ensuring that Bernice succeeds in her business and also paying her loan. I have been offering her technical advice in the view of helping her pick up again. She will repay the outstanding balance. And I hope that when its done we will help her raise another loan to facilitate the rebuilding process. Thank you all

    Hello Bernice,
I see that you are applying for another loan but you are still behind on the payments for your July loan. Wouldn't it be better to finish paying off the current loan before you apply for a new one?

The change in my repayment schedule is due to a fault in my printer that has lead to malfunction of the whole printer. This has affected my Business a lot. I have taken measures to repair it. I pray that it will be in good shape very soon

    Hey Bernice,

if you need more funds or if you want to offer the users of your cafe to earn money then you could tell them to check out leadgenius.com/ . It is a service I have used in the past to provide businesses with leads, it's fairly easy work but it earns a lot compared to other offline jobs. This way they can pay for the usage of your computers themselves!
