About Me

I am Kusi Stephen. I am 33 years old and live at Apatrapa in Kumasi. I was born in Akomadan in the Ashanti region on the 27th March, 1985 to Madam Doris Osei Konadu and Mr. Gabriel Nkrumah. My father is a driver and my mum is a petty trader. I am the first born of four children. I have one brother and two sisters.
I am a Christian brought up at Church of Pentecost and do not joke with my christian life. I started my education at Akomadan Roman Catholic M/A School and continued to Faith International School. Later, I was brought to Kumasi to attend Heroes International School at Ash-Town in the early 90’s. I later came to continue at New Life International School at Kronom. Due to financial constraints, l left for Full Gospel International School at Afrancho after completing my primary education at New Life International School. After spending two days in my new school I got returned to New Life International School to continue with my Junior Secondary School (JSS). This was as a result of my hardwork, humility, respectfulness and discipline among others. My teachers here even nicknamed me 'Prof', a name that most of my mates used to call me.
My coming back was engineered by the late, Mr Agyei Kodua Brempong if blessed memory. This good man supported me greatly in my life that I will ever talk of his goodness towards me.
Here, I soon became the first Head School Prefect and at the school's first speech and prize giving day, I was awarded the best Mathematics, Science and the overall best student. I wrote my Basic Education Certificate Examination at New Life in April 2002 and came out with flying colours.
With this, i gained me admission into Prempeh College, one of the best secondary schools in the country of Ghana. At Prempeh College I pursued General Science and passed out successfully in 2005.
Due to financial difficulties, I taught for two years at New Life, my Alma Mater, as an Integrated Science pupil teacher to gather some money towards University education which is costly in Ghana.
Having had some money, I applied and gained admission to University of Cape Coast to pursue a program in Biochemistry where I successfully completed with a strong second upper class that earned me Honours. Due to hardwork, diligence, discipline, respectfulness and ability to teach for people to understand, i was picked up a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry in the University during the National Service period. During this period I handled a course in clinical Biochemistry and also supervised Mini-Project works of undergraduates. After National Service, I was employed as a teacher at Prempeh College in Kumasi to teach Biology and Integrated Science. With the desire to know more in terms of knowledge, I opted to further my studies and so I'm currently am MPHIL Biochemistry student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Apatrapa, the place I live, is marked by it just behind the Church of Pentecost building at Apatrapa. The place is also near a football park.
Kusi is married to Grace Ayeboafo Boadu with three (3) kids, all which are females. My first born wants to be a doctor, the second a Lawyer, and the third a Lecturer.
I am skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tool SPSS.
I love reading and playing football.

My Business

Education, they say, is the key to success and has no end. The success is from the knowledge that is gained from education. So as an ambitious person who wants to be full of knowledge and be successful in this life, I decided to further my education. As a result, I bought an application form of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and applied to study MPhil Biochemistry. I have gained admission and so currently into the programme. However, the high cost of University tuition, huge transport fares from Apatrapa (where I live) to campus, high cost of my kids education among others in addition to supporting my parents as the eldest child, have overstretched me financially that I sometimes lose hope. However with the kind hearts of lenders of Zidisha, I know I can get some amount that will offset some of these to cause a sort of relief.

Loan Proposal

This loan will be used to support the high cost of my school fees to bring me some relief.

I'm very sorry for the delay in payment of my outstanding Zidisha loan. I am extremely worried about it. However, I have not been well for some time and this has accounted for this delay. Now that all is well and I'm back I promise to fully settle the amount in no a time. Thanks to my lenders and to the entire Zidisha team.

An amount of GHS 714 was received after deductions have been made from the requested amount of GHS 1,096. This amount is to be used to buy a laptop which will be used for research work required as part of my studies. I thank my lenders so much for helping me to make my research work easier. God bless you all.

This amount of money will be used to purchase a laptop computer to enable me carry out more research work and to do academic presentations as required by my course of study. I am therefore very much grateful to all my lenders for lending me such a great support. May God bless you all, Amen.

The loan I just completed its payment was added to an amount of money I had been keeping to completely settle my school fees. This enabled me register for courses in this second, and last semester of 2018/2019 academic year. Without it, I was not feeling easy any time I went for lectures since I will not be allowed to write my mid-semester and end of semester examinations. In deed, Mark and Zidisha helped me out greatly in the complete payment of the fees. The Zidisha team might not have perceived how happy I became the day the loan was sent to me to completely settle the fees. I'm grateful to Mark Gray and the entire Zidisha family.

The loan I just completed with its payment was made to be part of my fares from home to the campus of the University and back home since the latter though is closer to the worksite but very far away from the University campus. This amount helped me a lot and without it learning wouldn't have been easier. I'm therefore grateful to my lenders and the entire Zidisha family for such a support. May the Lord God bless you all. Thank you.
