About Me

My name is Tonny Wabudi Ngakayi, a college graduate and an unemployed citizen. I stay in the western region in Busia county in the republic of Kenya. I still live in my family home stead with my two parents and other three siblings. I am a passionate farmer with a taste in both plant and animal husbandry. I have previously worked on orange planting and bananas. I am inspired by the greatest farmers in the world originating from India, Germany and Netherlands. I have a serious conviction of working hard and Smart to achieve a balance economic prowess.

My Business

I have invested an amount estimated at $300 in a simple broiler chicken business. I have a side business in selling oranges and bananas which acts as my source of income at the moment. I have taken keen interest in keeping broiler chicken at a business level due to their good growth power. I have made chicken keeping my primary source of income and putting a plea to Zidisha to put my request into consideration. As I write this, I have so far had two batches of sales. I am now working on the third batch for which I am seeking a loan to cater for the feeds, medication and labor.

Loan Proposal

My Proposal is based on requirements needed for my banana plantation farm. In the first place, I would use the money to budget for the following; fertilizers, more banana suckers to plant, irrigation pipes and the pesticides. I would use an estimated fee of $12 for fertilizers, $16 for banana suckers. If this is granted it would signify that I would be able to facilitate my banana plantation venture successfully. This would not only be of a great impact to me but also family members. Now, if my proposal is funded I believe I would be able to achieve greatly from this venture. For instance, as earlier stated the cost of one banana bunch is $11 and therefore, in a funded plantation of over 1000 banana plantation there would a great profit margin. This would make $11,000 per season and each season runs for 10 months. Therefore, I would like to ask that my plea and submissions are considered. Thank you Zidisha.
