About Me

My name is Tonny Wabudi Ngakayi, a college graduate and an unemployed citizen. I stay in the western region in Busia county in the republic of Kenya. I still live in my family home stead with my two parents and other three siblings. I am a passionate farmer with a taste in both plant and animal husbandry. I have previously worked on orange planting and bananas. I am inspired by the greatest farmers in the world originating from India, Germany and Netherlands. I have a serious conviction of working hard and Smart to achieve a balance economic prowess.

My Business

I have invested an amount estimated at $300 in a simple broiler chicken business. I have a side business in selling oranges and bananas which acts as my source of income at the moment. I have taken keen interest in keeping broiler chicken at a business level due to their good growth power. I have made chicken keeping my primary source of income and putting a plea to Zidisha to put my request into consideration. As I write this, I have so far had two batches of sales. I am now working on the third batch for which I am seeking a loan to cater for the feeds, medication and labor.

Loan Proposal

I took a step in the month of May 2015 to run another business besides writing and that was to begin planting of hybrid oranges for commercial purposes. The business has seemed so good because I have allocated a wide market. My only barrier is that I can not supply to capacity and that is why I have come to you. My intent is to expand this business to fit upto Four acres of land, with this am sure I will be able to supply to full capacity since there will be enough land. Initially we have been selling one orange $0.5 in a low season and around $1 in a high peak season. As I expand my business I hope to also employ a number of upto 10 youths in my project so that the general outcome can help them pay for their school tuition. The sum of money raised would also help me in the fighting of the pests that have at times been a problem to my plants. I will also inform you that with the continued support you have been rendering me I plan to build up an orange juice plant once my production is of high quality and at full capacity. Thank you so much zidisha with my proposal am looking forward for your support.
