About Me

My name is Maurice Odhiambo Otieno,I went to Angorom primary school,due to financial constraints I was not able to proceed with my Secondary education,i went to Alupe Farmers college and graduated with certificate in horticulture.
After struggling to get work as a farm hand ,I managed to land a job as a farm hand.I decided to start my on commercial farm a few years later. I grow high end horticulture crops and supply local primary schools with the produce.
I currently have three children ,one boy and two girls they go to local primary school.My kids want to be doctors in future,I do my best to take care of the and ensure they get the best in life.
I usually play soccer during my free time and I closely follow English premier league.

My Business

My commercial farm ,provides fresh high quality horticulture including kales ,cabbages and capsicum.I usually ensure my clients get goods in fresh condition.
I stay in densely populated area,and most of the population are non farmers this gives me a competitive edge against my competitors. I also provides goods during troughs when the vegetables are scarce in the market ,this makes me get premium prices for my goods.
In a good month I spend $100 on pesticides and general farm maintenance,my revenues in a good month are always between $300-$400 ,I make profits of $200 in a good month.
I use my profits to pay school fees ,for my kids and one adopted kid.I also use my profits to take care of my elderly mom,who is currently suffering from diabetes.

I have saved $250 and would wish to request for a $380 loan so that I can complete the construction of poultry unit,and buy 200 layers for eggs.The demand for eggs is so high and what the society consumes is imported from other areas.
