About Me

I started the poultry and pig rearing venture 3 months ago with 2 (two) pigs 1 boar (male) and 2 Gilts (females) which were in calf , 2 months into the venture they gave birth to 20 piglets which 10 survived and I lost the rest due to lack of proper knowledge of the diseases and the vaccination trends, adaptability of piglets into the environment, proper feeding programmes, housing and other challenges associated with pig farming, currently I have 10 pigs in in total since I disposed the parent stock for feeds and vaccines. For the birds I started with 5 kienyeji breed also at that particular time and currently I have a flock of 50 birds that I rear for eggs and meat. I collect an average of 30 eggs per day and sell one at Ksh.15 which bring it to Ksh. 450/day monthly average of Ksh. 12,000 of which the money I get I pump it into restructuring on vaccinations and locally available feeds for the stock and also attend seminars for purposes of gaining adequate knowledge in this venture, Since I am well endowed with information and take this venture into a higher level I am seeking for funds to bring in a little of commercial foods for the animals awaiting maturity and for the birds also to buy locally available raw materials to produce my own feed that will enable me cut on costs of feeds and improve production.
Loan Proposal

My Business

Thanks once again, given the loan as applied for, I will get back to the drawing board and make a menu on the locally available raw materials for purposes of preparing my own feeds. The cost of feeds and production in the country is at a skyrocketing trend with a 90 kgs of commercial feeds for pigs and chicken going for not less than Ksh. 2,000 and 3,800 respectively. With my own production I can manage to cut the above cost by a margin of 60% whereby I will source for maize germ, wheat, sunflower, omena and bran which are locally available when crushed and mixed at required ratios will enable me produce a high quality feeds. This will enable me also engage my fellow youth to learn from my venture on the way to produce locally manufactured feeds and also master the art of the business.
With the costs of feeds slashed with the above percentage then it will mean I can save funds for purposes if acquiring my own egg incubator which will enable me create a hatchery for my eggs which will increase my stock and also for the 1 day to 1 moth old chic business also for those who will be having fertilized eggs of course at a fee.
Thank you.
