My name is Miriam Wanjiku Kiragu, am single, born in first September nineteen ninety one in rift valley province, Uasin Gishu district in a village known as Kipkabos. My parents are Leonard Kiragu and Beatrice Nekesa who born me together with seven siblings, four brothers and three sisters. I joined Gathuthi primary school in Nyandurua for standard one to five after we migrated from kipkabos due to tribal clashes. I later joined racecourse primary school in Eldoret for class six to eight, did my KCPE in the year two thousand and five. I joined Wareng high school in two thousand and six, left in two thousand and seven due to tribal clashes. I joined Goshen high school in form three in two thousand and eight and later finished in two thousand and nine, having finished my form four. I went to Egerton University Njoro Campus, where I helped my elder sister in her computer related works. She managed to raise ten thousand and supported me, where afterwards in moved from her place and got employed by a family friend. That promoted my career of agro dealer, I learned a lot from the business since I was paid six thousand per month thus I was able to help my family and saved four thousand per earning. For now I live in Kabatini shopping centre from Nakuru / Nyahururu road as you reach a centre called maili sita .Branch to your right, take a rough road go past Bahati boys secondary school , then from thereto Kabatini shopping centre. I live just within shopping centre .If u ask Miriam Agrovet you will be brought to home.

My Business

I am an agro dealer. I started an agrovet in the year of two thousand and ten, I liked the job very much since when I was in high school. I used to help my sister in her agrovet .There after is where bi was employed by a family friend , where I worked for seven months .There after I had saved thirty five thousand where I raised another fifty thousand from my family ,so I was able to start my business. Though it was challenging to get customers because of other dealers who .had ventured earlier, I persevere with the situation .Then I managed to get customers gradually because I made sure I gave them discount to attract them. My agrovet became firm and stable eventually. The first few months I was able to pay the money I had borrowed, so the year ended. In the first months of the year I made sure that my agrovet was full of the products needed. This came about by my negotiating for better prices from the whole sellers. I did all this using the amount I had gained in the previous year. January and February I made many customers due to my prices. Come march I was contented that the sales of agro chemicals, seeds, animal feeds, vet products, spraying pumps and other farm inputs. This is where I earn my living from I get about Kshs 25,000 monthly so annually I get Kshs 300,000.I also do farming as a business where I plant crops for sale and also keep poultry for sale. I get income of about kshs 10,000 so the total annually is kshs 400,000. From the earning am able to pay my bills, buy food, cloths and I also help my family back at home.

Loan Proposal

I would like to uplift my business by increasing stock i.e buying fertilizers, agro chemicals, seeds, animal feeds and pumps since now we are heading towards the short rain season, I also need to increase my poultry since the demand is high. I also want to rent another piece of land to increase my income. The loan might help me support my business. So I would need about kshs 40,000 to do so
