About Me

I am Sophy Nerima, now 77 years old a widow with 3 children and a retired banker from Busia County in Kenya. Did my education to college level of secretarial course. After my retirement I went into farming of maize, groundnuts, cassava and beans. I sell to cereal retailers after harvest which now enables me to sustain myself and family.

Busia county land is fertile and rainy all through most months of the year thus able to harvest maize twice a year.

My hobby is relaxing under my mango tree shade after a hard day in the farm and reading my holy Bible.

My Business

I harvest my maize, groundnuts, cassava and beans and sell to cereal retailers who in return sell to household consumers. Busia is near the Uganda border thus cereals are in demand for both commercial and household use.

I use the profits I make after selling to buy more seeds and fertilizer for the next planting season and some money I use for my home expenses.

I be glad to get the loan and with this loan I will be able to buy better fertilizer to increase my harvest for next season. I promise to abide by Zidisha rules and regulations. Thank you in advance.

Loan Proposal

If I am funded the loan i shall use the money to buy 3 bags of maize fertlizer at a cost of 167 dollars including transportation.

I shall then be able to harvest more bags of maize then the last season which in return i can sell to retailer traders at 1 dollar per 2 kilograms of maize.

Thank you in advance my lender and thank you Zidisha for the facilitation.

Hello Zidisha, I have had a lengthy talk with her and she said that she's been experiencing hard economic moments which caused her to halt in the repayments. However having acknowledged her defaulting state she promised to resume by the end of next week.
    Thanks

My mum had a bad motorbike accident early in the year which has drained her financially due to high medical and treatment she is currently undergoing but she has started remitting in some payments.

Hello Zidisha. I managed to reach Sophy on phone and she says she is sorry for defaulting due to personal issues but she'll resume her payments in November, possibly after things have improved. Kindly receive the report.
