About Me

My current resindence place is umoja (innercore) plot no:229.i am married to Francisca gakii and a father to brucecollins muthomi our first born son.on 1st dec 2014, we were blessed with twin baby boys name Ken and Khan. having been born from a tea catchment area,i have grown to see many young men do not think outside tea farming.i started my first business in 2005 were i operated a computer services shop at kionyo market for up to 2010 when i opted out of the said business after several players enter into the said field thus leading to unhealthy competition.i went back to farming were i managed to plant over 2000 trees of tomarlilo (tree tomato) fruits plant.this was a good venture but it went down after the spread of unknown disease which destroyed the crop thus great losses followed.with the help of my elder sister funding, i moved to nairobi umoja estate were i stated jack shop on April 2014 as a ordinary household shop wereby i stocked items like sugar, cooking fat, salt, milk e.t.c.after one month of operation, i discovered an opportunity in in electronic money transfer i.e m-pesa and airtel money, with the cash i had from the shop,i applied for both and i was offered the agency which am operating under the same shop.I have a dream of transforming this shop to be
A wholesale outlet and by almighty grace a supplier outlet to server umoja community.

My Business

i respect my business because since i started,it has enabled me to provide for my family and pay rent. i know if i can raise more capital to fund the stocking of the shop,i can get more income from it because i have not managed to stock most of goods which my customer need.i also have a problem with m-pesa and airtel money because some time i can't make big transactions becuase i am operating with limited float.if i get any funding, i will invest it into my business because i know it will pay back.my first loan from zindisha was small but it has enabled me to stock several snack which sales have worked wonderfuly in terms of returns. I am also in a prosses of buying an airtime vending machine which I hope will he operational by the end of this week mainly because of customers who need airtime of high denominations.

Loan Proposal

1. Buy baby cout bed for my twin baby boys @ a cost $42.4.
2. Buy mumias sugar for my shop 50kg @ a cost of $51.3
3. buy mwea pishori rice for my shop 50kg @ a cost of $70.
4. Buy 2 dozens more of led electric bulbs @ a cost of $40.1
Total cost is $203.8

For several years since I closed my shop at Nairobi and went back to my rural home to care for my family especially my young twin boys, I planned and entered into tea farming. I have established a farm of approximately 4800 tea bushes and as per now, I expect to get my second monthly advance of more than kes1400 next week. This will be higher than the first which was kes960. I expect the production to be higher as the plants age up and so, I will adjust to a higher amount in the near future.

    Dear my lenders.
Kindly bear with me for not having remited or communicated with you for some days. Am very sorry.
Am still active in zidisha and I hope to continue paying back my loan by the end of next month when I will be taking my first harvest to the marked. To be sincere, I have had a hard time and the same to my wife having to run our family without income for the last two months, but we hope this will change and pay back all our efforts.
I promise to come back to track very soon.

    Dear lenders.
I closed my shop after I noticed my sales had dropped by almost 60% for more than three months due to financial hard times here in Kenya.
Currently, I am doing farming at my home in Meru. I have a problem in servicing my instalments since I have no crop ready for market but once ready, I will go back to my normal repayment. Kindly allow me to reduce my instalments to a lower amounts which I can afford to pay ad per now.
    Thank you.

Zidisha has been a blessing to me and my family. With your funding, I have operated my shop from almost empty selves to a known jack shop in umoja. I have decided to change my field of business as from next month to enable me improve my earnings and minimize my expenditure. Back home, we have a farm which can give back enough returns if fully utilized. I have worked out a plan to put it into proper use. Otherwise, I remain committed to my obligations as a zidisha borrower and I promise to keep the standards.

    Dear zidisha team.
Kindly check my loan payments schedule for me and advice.
I made my last payment of KES 1000 which was to cover two weeks payments of KES 500. I expected to receive a reminder sms today reminding me of my next payment due date tomorrow but after I missed it, I had to check my payments where I noticed that my payment was credited four weeks meaning that my next payment should be on 18th Oct 2015.
I have financial problems but I wouldn't love to take what's not mine.
Kindly check for me as I look forword to make my payment tomorrow.
    Best regards.
