About Me

I am a 25 year old salonist based in Ngarariga town and a certificate holder in business management. I started my business way back in 2011 after my mom passed away. My dad was sick too (AIDS) so I had to take care of him and other siblings as well. He passed away as well.

I faced tough times when starting my salon. I actually started it at home where I depended on the word of mouth to get customers. Through the help of a merry go round I saved enough to start a salon. The business has been good; at least it provides my rent and buys food for my 5 siblings. It became hard getting funds through the merry go round as interests were high.

When I heard about Zidisha I knew for sure that is the break I have been waiting for. If my loan gets fully funded I will expand my business to buy a few accessories and also pile up stocks of beauty products so it becomes a one stop salon.

    I called Grace but could not get her on phone, I tried calling her community leader, family members and friends but unfortunately non of her contacts could be reached on the phone. Will try again.

    We talked with Grace who told me that she will continue to repay her loan, she added that she sometimes forgets to repay and I assured her that I will be reminding her, she starts tomorrow.

    Hi Zidisha staff and lenders, I managed to get Grace on phone and she told me that her business went under and that is the reason she has been unable to repay her loan.

    I advised her to write this information on her profile page (discussion) so that the lenders will be privy to that information, and to reduce her repayment installments to a manageable amount.

    She promised me to do so.

    Hi Zidisha staff and lenders, I called Grace and we had a chat, she says the times had been hard on her but she promised to adjust her repayments downwards and start repaying from Monday the 6th March 2017.

    Hallo, I called Grace and I was lucky because I got her on phone. I asked her that why she's not being paying her loan and yet we had talked about it on Dec 7th 2016. She said she will start repaying tomorrow.

    I talked to Grace and she said she had some problems; we discussed a few issues and I informed her that she should try and adjust her payments so that she repays her loan on time.

    She said she will start paying by Monday the 17th October 2016.

    the browdrier is really of good help but currently the weather is really challenging since it is cold and chilly therfore most customers prefer other services like braiding instead of brow drying because african hair shrink on cold weather.
