I am Kwaku Appiah, a J.H.S. graduate. After my J.H.S education when I got to know I am not good with formal education, I decided to go the informal way so I started with my training as a mechanic at Sofoline Fitting Shop. After my training, I realized that I am more interested in driving than being a mechanic, so I joined a truck driver who takes cargo from Tema port to the other parts of the country and nearby countries as well. After some time with him, my brother bought me a taxi which I use to ply from Akropong - Adum.
In my country Ghana, most of the people don't have respect for my profession so I decided to make a difference in the profession by driving executively.
The average person in Ghana hires a taxi two or three times daily in their daily activities. That makes my business very lucrative and demanding too. I sometimes even forget to eat, but I love my work so much that I don't even feel angry about that. I chose this business because I feel so passionate about it. Growing up, I enjoyed watching the drivers in my village driving and how they are cheered by the villages to the extent that they sometimes give free food and other things. My costs are mainly maintaining the car and fuel. I use the profit I realize from this business to sponsor my family, especially my children's education and my sick mum. It is my dream to increase my business by buying more of the taxis and a mini bus.
I will like to take this opportunity to thank lenders for how far they have help me with my taxi business. I will appreciate if lenders will once again lend me an amount of USD 610.00 to help make general maintenance on my taxi cab below is the budget for the general maintenance
doors = USD 208.00
tyres = USD 127.00
bumpers = USD 97.00
bonnet = USD 56.00
fitting works = USD 160.00
workmanship = USD 79.00
spraying = USD 228.00
if am able to do this general maintenance of my taxi it will increase my customers confidence again as the car will look new, this will go a long way to increase my income to about 30% as i will recapture all the customers i have lost because of the poor appearance of my car. Thank you once again for funding my loan
