I am a kenyan, adult. A B.Com graduate from egerton University. I have for three years been in the business of interior design. this is a field that, in my opinion, has a lot of potential and helps in bettering the quality of life for my clients. I help in creating spaces that are better, more conducive, and ultimately more practical than otherwise.
I had the opportunity to work in the formal sector after graduating, but it was hard to get the satisfaction of a job well done. thus, I started doing interior design as a freelance, going on the contacts I got during my interactions. Later, I discovered that I was good at it and thought to pursue it further, full time. that is where I am.
I deal in interior design consultancy, furniture design, garden design, home improvement, curtains and drapes, tiling, cabinets and storage... to list but a few. ultimately, I deal in bettering the spaces we live, work and play in.
The business is still in the initial growth phase as it is mostly a 'by referral' kind of business, but it is picking up quite well.
The profits I get are mostly used for personal development and upkeep, while some are reinvested in the business.
I will use the loan to purchase power tools. of particular urgency is the circular saw which retails at $20. this machine will reduce the amount of time spent manually sawing pieces of timber and other boards that i use in my projects.
I have identified a supplier who is willing to sell it on hire purchase at $22.
this machine will help me increase revenue bu greatly cutting down production time and thus, I can take up more projects
