About Me

I am the second born in a family of six I completed my high school in the year 1995 did a course in computer, accounting and thereafter a diploma course in Business management .In my childhood days i would say it was quite different and unique compared to now days. Those were the days when playing was enjoyable, i remember playing all sorts of games including cooking using small home made jikos and thats why am a great cook since i was always played the role of a mother. The idea of starting the business came about when we acquired a family land in Shimba hills and we saw a great opportunity in opening an agrovet since we realized farming was a core activity in the area. I would say Coast people have a culture of the they own and they still uphold and value so much about they culture, for example circumcision which they do after the child is a week old unlike in our culture where i came from. My daughter who is in form three wants to be a mechanical Engineer while my son is who is in class eight wants to be a lawyer and the last is still very young. I love travelling alot.
Lastly i live in Mtwapa just a few metres from Kenol Petrol station which is located along Mombasa Malindi highway.

My Business

My business is an Agrovet which is a family business that has been running over five years now and we deal with agro chemicals, fertilizers, veterinary products and farm inputs. The goods we sell are useful because of the location of my business, which in Shimba hills Kwale County keeping in mind that this is a location where most people depend on farming as they daily activity. Generally the profit we make we reinvest in the business and for our family upkeep including school fees and general expenses. I am also employed as an office Secretary at Shaluma Enterprises which is located in Nyali, Mombasa dealing with transport and construction. But basically my biggest income comes from the business as to compared to my monthly salary.

Loan Proposal

If granted the loan, am planning on buying at least three goats. Each goat will cost me approximately 30-35 us dollars. This project will be of benefincial on my side because for one goat keeping wont take up much room in my farm and therefore i will be able to continue doing other farm activities. Secondary goat keeping will bring in income on my side since i will be able to sell in future as they multiply. Looking into my farming activities i will be able to get manure from the goats whereby this waste manure will be of use in my farm and therefore will reduce the cost of buying waste manure form other sources. On the other hand as the goats multiplies i will also be in a position to sell the waste manures to my neighbours at a fee. My anticipation is to sell the goats once they multiplies and going by the current price the goats are trading at my location i will be able to make a profit of 30 to 40 us dollars per goat weighing approximately twenty to twenty five kilograms.
