my name is ELIUS MAINA born and brought up in a small village where we had stalemate of accessing education due to wrong distance we had to cover,we had to strive hard after school to assist in home jobs so that we could get school fees,through my struggle i had passion of starting a business where i could become independent and relieve my parents workload of taking care of me hence started rearing hens where i could sell eggs.in my village young men did not believe how one could get money without white collar jobs and had to prove myself and overcome it.i believe in entrepreneurship and self employed business.am a soccer fan and have great support for talents.

My Business

i have reared poultry with a small structure holding 100 hens and 50 cocks,basically the hens have the capability of laying 30 trays of eggs per week and the cocks after they mature i sell them for meat.the kind of business is cost effective and requires little inputs .the cost involved are basically feeds whereby i spend KS 5000 per week,maintenance of structures and expansion as growth occurs,am capable of getting a net revenue of KS 5000 per week,my revenue is used in reinvesting in the business because i want to be the biggest supplier in future to big markets.

Increase stocks within the green grocery shop hence generate additional revenue.The profit maximization is expected to grow to Kes 500 per day
