About Me

I am a Kenyan male aged 30years. I a family of seven i am the sixth born. I cleared my O levels in 2003 and joined Computer College where i was awarded a Diploma in Computer Engineering. I later ventured into business where i operated a Barbershop for 2 years before I later changed the career and started a Small Cyber Cafe that had only 2 Computers in 2008. The business has grown but not rapidly due to lack of external funds. It now runs with 5 operating Computers where I think if more computers are added, the business can really do good. I have at least some other two employees whom i have employed and pay them on commission basis, of which I feel is a challenge sometimes to most businesses. If funded and gets extra machines I will be able to have permanent employees where I will be paying them on monthly basis and this will be an advantage to me.

My Business

As per now, my business is a Cyber Café with four operating computers. This is a challenge when customers exceed the number of machines most of the times. I also have a small Epson Printer that does almost everything i.e Scanning, Printing, Photocopying, Photo printing etc. and i feel that i overwork it. If i could get funds from other sources, i will invest in a bigger Printer and may be a photocopier machine. I also do typewriting with a manual typewriter where we use to fill certificates. I have been looking forward to purchase an electric one for quality work. I also intend to start computer training which will require a more bigger space with more computers. I have witnessed some of my friends benefit from Zidisha and i know it realy works. May God bless Zidisha for the remarkable job you are doing especially to young people.

Loan Proposal

I am intending to add an extra computer in my cyber and if i get some other amount and add to this, i would consider buying a high speed computer with a bigger capacity that will be able to handle 'heavy' softwares like video editing softwares, graphics design softwares, and also act as a server since the one am using is not what i can term as '' up to date''. This will allow me serve my customer more efficiently and effectively. Am also replacing the CRT monitors that consume more power with TFT monitors that will reduce the bills incurred as electricity bill. I have also thinking about buying a bigger photocopier machine because the area is rapidly growing thus more photocopy work. I am grateful for the support i have been receiving from zidisha. May God bless you all!

I have already been blessed. Please remember to be good to your employees. Many employers here have forgotten that. Best of luck.

Dear lenders, i was so much thankful for the first loan, of which was not much but it realy helped me because i was able to purchase two TFts and replaced two CTR monitors that were really consuming power. My next plan after repaying this loan that am intending to clear may be before the end of this month is to purchase a computer that will be a server and as well accommodate 'heavy' programmes like video editing programmes, graphics design softwares etc. I hope i will qualify to a loan that will cater for this. God bless all the lenders and God bless Zidisha!

      Dear Mr Ngahu,
That's very good news about your new TFT monitors. I have done much the same thing in my home to save energy costs over CRT monitors.
I hope that the cost savings will allow you to keep more profit for reinvesting in your business. I can only assume that business is busy for you.
I hope to talk with you again. Best of luck.

      Sincerely,
      Marvin

    Dear Mr Ngahu,
Your first loan payment arrived today. I would like to thank you for that.

With the modest size of the first zidisha loan, were you able to purchase anything to improve your business? You were interested in buying a desk and a seat, but you have many other plans as well.

I would like to hear more about your business.
    Sincerely,
    Marvin
