About Me

I am a married woman to caring and responsible man;Maina. We are blessed with three children whom we love so much.I joined the world of business shortly after completing my primary school education and till to date am carrying on with it.I realized the need to start small sale business in order to help myself and uplift standard of living of my family and with the aim of furthering my education in future.By this, i have been able to uplift my livelihood together with that of my family though i never joined seondary school to further my education.I am glad that my sibling and my children's living is better now.I have a very hardworking husband who is in full support in all my undertakings and with whom we are schooling our children. We look forward to giving them better education.By this support of yours,we will create a better foundation for their future.

My Business

I work as farmer alongside business in my area of residence and out within Kenya.I grow maize ,beans ,kales ,spinah and any other plants which are in higher demand.I therefore specialize in business of selling these commodities together with other related ones such as peas, millet ,sorgum which i do not grow in my plantations.I plan to expand my business to have the commodities from all corners ,no matter how long in order to supply them adequately to other small sale sellers countrywide.I also look forward to include seeds and seedlings in my business and also expand my plantation to large scale farming for adequate supply.Challenges are there as many as possible.Higher pries, higher transport cost, lack of enough commodities ,crop diseases and many more. All these are due to inadequate capital. With your support,i will be able to minimize these costs and be able to buy goods and grow in bulk thus minimizing costs and expenses and fight crop diseases.

Loan Proposal

I intend to invest in supplying those goods that are in high demand during this nearing christmas season such as christmas cards and other goods.
I experienced this after engaging in such kind of business in supplying exam cards in this season when students are sitting for their final exams. This made me earn a lot of profit which facilitated to clearing my loan.
I decided to clear my loan even before the scheduled time in order to get more fund to push on with the business as i take advantage of the season and i will appreciate your support.

    Hi, Lydiah.
I am really sorry to see you have not made any repayments at all on your new loan. Can you at least tell your lenders what the problem is, and when you expect to start I am sure you understand that complete silence is very worrying for us. Thank you.

I wish to reschedule my repayment because of some little challenges i have faced.Due to heavy rain in many parts of the country, the business has been highly affected hence causing some losses.
It is very regretting as this is a harvesting and profit making season of christmas. But i believe things will be alright since the rain is for a short time.

    Hi zidisha lenders,
I am glad this morning to have contact with you all.I believe you have been nice since last week when i shared with you about some little challenge i was facing.I wish to confirm and inform you that the problem is now solved and i appreciate the work of the team in the office for their quick response.
As i had promised,i have already cleared the arrears that arose due to that inconvenience.I believe everyone understood that it was not my arrogance neither my ignorance and am glad for Bayle confirmation below.

Otherwise i am doing well in my business, that is,potato farming and trading as am now back in trading to give them time to grow.I am expecting some better profit after they are done and i believe God will be there for it.
On the other hand,i have resumed to my trade and i can tell you the business is doing good as potatoes are in a high demand.

I am looking forward to sharing more and more news of progress.
    Best of luck.

Dear Lenders, my name is Bayle and I am a Country Liaison Intern with Zidisha. I wanted to confirm Lydia's comment below. The error was our fault, and has now been corrected and her payment posted.

Lydiah, you can now make payments to our account number without worrying that this will happen again. Your account information is updated with your correct number, so there will be no confusion in the future. Once again, I apologize for this inconvenience!

    Hi dear lenders,
I wish to express and extend my gratitude to each and everyone of you for your patience and humility.
I am sure many of wonder where i went ever since i received your donation, but i am still here and pushing on well.I decided to commit myself a little bit in farming just after you lent your funds where am now growing potatoes in a place called Kinangop Kenya.I can tell you that they are doing well after facing some challenges as it was my first time to grow them.I am glad that now i can talk something positive about it after a hard time of fighting insects and diseases.Just make sure you carry some from me when you visit my country.
I am sure you have noticed some default in repayment schedule. This should not happen because i would not have any arrears suppose a little problem did not arise. It happened that i gave a phone no. that is registered with another person in my profile.I thereafter received a notification from the office and i was advised to register a new no. with my name then send it for disbursement, something that i did.But when it came to repayment,i sent some money via the no. that i got my disbursement and it couldn't appear in my repayment schedule.I then got a Sms which advised me to clarify why i sent the payment using that no. instead of the one in my profile, and i responded some days afterwards because i was not in and the area i am farming is very remote in terms of infrastructure.Today i found out that my email was never delivered to the team responsible and i sent another one to clarify the matter.
I was afraid to send another payment via this no. to avoid a repeat of the same mistake but i am sure the office will rectify and i will be able to clear the arrears.
I regret the inconvenience caused by this and i decided to share with you so as to breakdown your suspicion.
I am a woman of promising and i keep my promise and as soon as the problem is solved, believe me that i will put my record straight.
I wish you all the best.
