About Me

i am a young enthusiastic entrepreneur striving to make the best out of my God given potential in designing, I am a university graduate with bachelor of arts in political science and sociology, the difficulty in getting a job motivated me to start a shoe making business and I just acquired shoe making skill with COTVERT. After school I have come to live with my family in takoradi. I have two sisters and a brother. I have an eye for beautiful things, I like to think about beautiful designs and draw them, I later try to make them into shoes. I can make beautiful shoes and sandals or slippers. I plan to become a big designer label in future, not only in Ghana, but the world.

My Business

I have through my personnel endeavor established a shoe making shop, where we produce shoes , sandals and slippers for all sexes. Our primary target is toddlers and kids though we produce for adults as well. we do repair and redesign old shoes as well. our major challenge has to do with our the source of how raw materials-mainly leather and shoe glue. These are difficult to come by and very expensive as well. I buy leather from importers in accra at very high price. I have a friend from London who can buy me leather directly from there so that it wont be too expensive. I also buy leather from the local manufactures too but that is mainly used for only slippers and sandals. A yard of leather can cost around 200gh here in takoradi, I buy thread and glue as well and the end product, can sell for 60gh. I can make about 6 good shoes from this, making me about 360gh.minus the cost of glue and threads; I can have 100gh as profit from every yard of leather I buy. The scraps can even make two or three sandals in addition. I am in this business with my younger brother. I buy about 5 yards every month.

Loan Proposal

I need this loan to buy more raw materials like leather and glue and shoe polish for the production of more shoes. I have customers who have ordered in advance and I just need to produce for them to come and collect. If this loan comes I can buy in bulk and save it. i can afford to pay back with my profits swiftly. this will help grow my business as I plan to expand the business to belts, wallets and bags as well. Thank you all
