My name is Philip, i am a Ghanaian. I am married with two children. My wife is a waitress in town. We are both very hard working people and we try our best to provide for our children and our families in the village. I am a taxi driver in Accra and i also have a small bakery at home, where we bake bread and other pastries. Most of the money i make is used to pay school fees for my two children. Because i could not reach far in my education, i want them to be well educated. We live in Ashaiman, in Accra, in a rented one bedroom house. This is not the best place to raise children so i plan to move to a more secure place soon, if i am able to save some money. I and my wife always try to be available for our children and make them happy. I like playing with them.
I am a taxi driver in Accra. I start work from 5 AM everyday and close by 7PM. I go for the car from my car owner and make sure i return it in time. The taxi business is very good but i have to supplement it with the bakery to get a little more money for myself. at the moment i am able to buy a 50 kg bag of flour a week, this costs 130 cedis. from this we can bake about 150 loaves of bread and make biscuits for sale. at the end of the week i make about 300 cedis out of this. i use my taxi for supplies so i get a lot of customers. some too come and buy from the house. the money from here supports the the family in addition to the taxi profits.
i will buy an additional bag of flour for my bakery, bake more loaves of bread and buscuits, this will increase our sales. also with my taxi as a means of supplying,i can reach more customers. people eat bread every morning, so selling will be fast and i will be able to pay back my loan as soon as possible. Thank you all.
