I am a twe old student at Kisii university pursuing a bachelor course in computer science,i am in my final year of study.I was born in a village called koiwa.koiwa is located in koiwa sub-location,mogogosiek location, konoin division, bureti district, kericho county.i am a 5th born in a family of 7 siblings.i started my schooling journey at koiwa primary then i joint kabianga high school.after my four years in kabianga high school i join kisii university under the government sponsored program me that is join admission board program me.i am a business oriented person,i have been running business as i study as well.
I started a business 8 months ago at Koiwa Trading Centre where i collect all the green leaves from farmers and taking them to the nearest tea factory for processing. I have three workers who helped me collect the green leaves in rural areas and bring them to my business premise at Koiwa Trading Centre. We pay farmers instantly depending on the weight of their tea leaves. Each kilo of a tea leave we buy at kshs 20 and subsequently sell at ksh 30 per kilo in nearest factory. Every month, by the help of my workers we collect to around 600kgs of tea leaves and i receive payments monthly. I pay my workers ksh 5000 exclusive of commission granted to them when they collect more tea leaves. This business has been booming and it is so profitable and i am planning to buy a vehicle to help me collect more tea leaves as possible. the competition is so stiff and punitive from the surrounding big companies and factories like KTDA among others. Despite this competition i make sure i fight strong and healthy to remain on top and win the market. I am planning to diversify and open a factory in future. The challenge i am facing is lack of funds to achieve this dream.
If granted the loan, i will use them to buy sleeves which will cost me 6000 kenya shillings and covering translucent sheet costing me 2000 kenya shillings. After accessing all these materials i will prepare seedlings for tea of which a year time will be ready for planting. When they will be ready for planting ,i will sell each seedling at kenyan shillings 10.The total seedlings prepared will be 3000 seedlings and given a germination percentage of 80% i expect to sell 2500 seedlings .They will give me 25000 kenya shillings and less the cost incurred ,i will have a net income of 18000 kenyan money. This will be a great boost to my busines of buying tea leaves from farmers.
Since there is a great profit yield i expect from this venture and currently i do not have enough money
to employ to realized this untapped venture , i want to urge my lenders to lend loan so as for me to progress on with my business.
I will be so much grateful if assisted. So far am thankful for earlier loan granted as it greatly assisted me in buying more green tea leaves from farmers hence giving some good amount of money and enhancing my reputation of business.
