About Me

My name is Michael Dida of Id number 5332629.I hail from zowereni village in kilifi county.am married to one wife by the name Mary Michael Dida and we are blessed with 10 children and the first born is about 33 years old.These include Amy Uchi Michael aged 33 years,Ben Dida aged 31,Baker Mwadena aged 28 years,Anderson Randu aged 25 years,Derrick Mbaru aged 22 years,Elsie Dzame aged 19,Aryl Pande 16years,Sean Mwagona aged 14,Ellam Michael aged 12 years old,Bess Maku 10 years.
Iam an unskilled peasant farmer growing and breeding of indigenous chicken,i studied upto form four in the year 1970 and got a job a banker for 24 years in mombasa kenya and later placed under liquidation.This necessitated into local farming where i grew maize,cassava,local chicken and goats.i started my poultry business to enable me feed my family and pay my children school fees.the earnings shall be used for my family upkeep and expand my business.i will work with zidisha to enable me breed chicken on large scale basis and supply the whole of my home town.

My Business

My business is local chicken poultry apart from piped water kiosk.I have been doing this for last four years.i buy four week old chicks from the local community for about 100 shillings each and after 6 months i sell them to local restaurants at about kshs 400.My average sale now is 40 chicken in a month which has an income of kshs16,000.Expenses include chicken mash (feeds) at kshs 5,500.net profit kshs 10,500 monthly which is used to pay my lenders.Demand for local chicken is high due to the environment like weddings,schools.local restaurants and highly nutritious which is scientifically proven.Risks include seasonal diseases like chicken pox.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to purchase essential goods for my business like addition of more local chicken.This would take about kshs 20,000.Chicken also need a better environment and therefore i will use kshs 10,000 to renovate their shade to enhance production.I also need to buy more feeds for them,since they depend on this to grow.This shall cost about kshs 7,000.The rest shall be used for any unforeseen expenses.
