    Hello Lenders,

My name is Andrew Weber and I recently served as a Zidisha Client Relationship Manger in Kenya. There I paid a visit to Dida at his home in a village outside the city of Kilifi on the coast. Dida is the patriarch of a large family and a well-respected member of the community. He has ten children (ranging from 9 to 34) and four grandchildren. He estimates there are typically about 8 children living on his 12.3 acre shamba at any given time. With so many mouths to feed Dida understands the importance of strong work ethic, and he continues to make strides in improving life for his family.

One way which Dida earns income is through raising chickens in a coup on his property. He buys and sells them in a nearby market. His stock of chickens typically ranges from about 30 to 60 chickens with a maximum of 100 at any given time. This is a not enough chickens to earn the income he would like to support his family, so with the loan he plans to renovate his coup to add more space to add more chickens in addition to buying medicine for them. He also has one goat and one dairy cow.

In addition to raising chickens Dida has been trying to better himself by learning business management at local non-profit run by a Peace Corps volunteer. He also volunteers in his community and has assisted in opening a computer literacy center, where he currently takes computer classes himself. He recently made a stride in climbing through the rungs of poverty when he built his family’s first ever outhouse on their property. Despite being a grandfather Dida is still learning new things and striving to better his situation with the vigor of a man half his age.

I am very sorry for rescheduling this loan and the reasons behind is that I am very much fixed up with my children's school fees which one is joining form one and the requirements were above expectations, she got a far end school and the school fees are higher. Two are in secondary school. But I do promise that by 9th march I will pay double.
    Thanks.
