my name is Elizabeth Wambui Muchangi and a resident of Kiti estate of Nakuru town.am a graduate of bachelor in commerce and not married. after completing my education and searching for a white collar job with no success l opted for self employment so as to earn a living.l started first by selling clothes to my friends and neighbors. at first l did it as a mobile as l would visit my friends in their places of work and at home so as to sell to them but later l managed to open a store in town where l am located to date.l use the income from the business to support my siblings who are still in school and save the other so that l can enroll for masters degree.
l have a boutique shop here in nakuru town where am located along the kenyatta avenue.l sell mostly ladies suits and men suit and assorted handbags and office wear shoes.this is because the profit margin of these clothes is big. l get the stock from kampala and at times in Nairobi depending on the trend.l make ks 20,000 as net profit and after deducting all the expenses. l also ensure my prices are very competitive so as to retain and attract new customers as the competition is very high here in town.at times l do offer discount to my customers so as to retain them.if advanced with the loan l will add more stock to the business.
i will use the loan to restock my shop and also put up some more shelves in my shop and also do some renovations that will enable my shop to attract more customers.i will also use the loan to invest in rearing chicken for meat because it is a booming business back here in Kenya. the remaining amount will be used for my school fees
