About Me

Joyann is a 21 year old lady and a mother to one princess. I am the first born in a family of six. I live with my mum and my four siblings in the suburb of Nyeri town. My parents separated sometime back last year and dad who was the main bread winner do not support us anymore. Life has been tought since then. We survive on mum's peanut pay and God's grace.

I was a second year university student taking Agribusiness management and trade but had to discontinue my studies due to alot of financial constrains. Since then( August last year) i have been vending different items to earn a living and save up for my school fees. My greatest wish is to complete my studies, raise my daughter, support my mum and siblings financially and be a very successful business lady.

My Business

I vend a collection of products such as tops, pants, fancy jackets, shoes, handbags, jewellery, African wear, etc. My main sales Channel have been students hostels, offices, estate( door to door) , friends, and through the social media( Facebook). My products are always in demand since they are fashionable, unique and latest designs. My main challenge has been encounters with the city council. The marketing style is also time consuming and tedious.

I would like to expand my business by taking it online by creating an ONLINE BOUTIQUE. This will help me cub the current challenges and also attract more customers.I inturn plan to diversify my products by incorporating products with high returns ($20) ; that is artworks(pencil art and paintings) and unique baby products.

Currently business returns are okay. On average i sell 3 items a day, each giving an average of $4, totaling to $12 daily. In a month i make estimately $300. The online boutique will produce estimately double the current returns that is $600.

I will use the loan to set up a website and increase my stock. I intend to pay it back using returns from the business.

Loan Proposal

The loan will take my business to a different level. Having an online shop will give me more time to spend with my daughter and attend school. I will also be able to improve my living standards and save up comfortably. This loan will help create a great shopping site, the likes of eBay and Amazon, that will benefit the community in the long run . I will be grateful if you support me to bring out the best in me.
