About Me

I am Dadzie Frank from the Central Region of Ghana. I am a natural born leader and a very good team player, am a passionate, optimistic & dedicated young man who takes up responsibilities with utmost enthusiasm and see to it that I complete my tasks and assignments in time. I’ve a great amount of perseverance to achieve my goal. My optimistic and planned approach in things I do is what driving me towards my success.
Am a final year student reading Computer Science. When am less busy or during ma leisure time I listen to music, also enjoy watching and playing football and also selective with the kind of movies I watch.
I come from the Dadzie Family and brought up in the multi-cultured, multi-cuisine flavors of Accra-Takoradi. I am from a family of five (5) and the last born of my parents.

My Business

As a young entrepreneur and a student as well my source of income is this personal business. the production and manufacturing of food spices with a local product known as “dawadawa”. Dawadawa is a very healthy local vegetable mostly used in cooking but it mostly comes with a strong unpleasant sent and thus causing people to shun away from this very healthy product.
In markets, dawadawa is typically sold in dried form as balls or cakes, with each one ranging in size from about 1 tbsp to 2 tbsp. A single cake or ball is usually added to one batch of soup or stew.
So with my business its into the production of well refined dawadawa into well packaged portable spicies. That attract customers and also its takes away the unpleasant scent that was the main reasons why people shun away from the dawadawa.
Since dawadawa is not a new thing to the West African Market in connection with food and spices. A well packaged and portable spice is very easy to market. Its 100 % natural that’s to say no need for preservatives which are mostly very common in most other spicies on the market.
Due to this most people/customers especially love ones of dawadawa prefer our product for their food spicing and season other the others on the market.
One problem i face with the dawadawa is that people are really tenacious and since they have gotten use to other spices it take some extra convincing and even with that, with better and more educative advertising with flies and brochures about the product
Also the dawadawa is grown locally so getting of the raw materials for the production is easy
We buy 5 sacks of dawadawa at 730gh, then go to the mill to grind it, then back home to process into cakes and balls. We package in plastic containers with informative labels, 4 boxes, costing about 1870gh, after selling we make about 550gh every month.

Loan Proposal

If I get this loan, I will add an additional sack of raw dawadawa to my stock to increase the monthly profit. I plan to rent a shop in town purposely for the sales. This will boost the popularity of the product in town and in the long run attract more people. I plan to buy a mill myself soon and start milling the dawadawa myself. I also plan to get a small place to move the operations to prevent disturbing my family at home when I am working.
