About Me

Hello, my name is Mrs. Traoré, born Ouattara Salimata. I found Zidisha microfinance thanks to the AMES 10 association of which I am a member. It is a real pleasure to come and ask for financial support with the goal of growing my business. I finished secondary school and am a native of the city of Sya, also known as Bobo Dioulasso. Right now I am owner of an intercity betting booth. I have delegated the management of the booth to two young women who regularly make sales. In addition to this, I have a stall that sells traditional wrap dresses (pagnes) towards the heart of the large market in Bobo Dioulasso and for this reason, I would like to benefit from your support.

My Business

My business involves buying dresses in Mali or in Lomé, Togo, and then reselling them in the Bobo Dioulasso central market. There is a saying: “When we want to, we can,” and this is what gives me the courage and the will to reach my goals, which include supporting my needs and the needs of my family. I buy the wraps wholesale and have them delivered to Bobo Dioulasso thanks to a partnership with businesses in Mali and Togo that I was able to create. Thanks to this clothing business, I was able to achieve many things, for example paying for travel, so that I can help my husband equally with family responsibilities. I love this business, as proven by the fact that I have been doing this for 12 years. I cannot close without thanking the whole Zidisha team as well as all the lenders, who never stop giving a ray of hope to all who wish to grow their enterprises. Thank you.

An adage that says "when we want we can", and that's what gives me the courage and determination to achieve my goals which are among other support myself and that of my family. Thank you honourable lenders to give me the opportunity to make a change on this repayment schedule. I had some health concerns, which is why I was a bit late. I apologise to you for this inconvenience and will soon be up to date. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Hello Salimata!

We understand... but you should contact Zidisha and ask for a change to the payment plan, or else your record at Zidisha will be ruined...

    Hello dear lenders,
With your permission, I am making a change to my repayment calendar since I just returned from a trip and it wasn't until today, November 19, that I could start selling my merchandise again. I promise that this new schedule won't drag on, since I have large orders of wraps in the next weeks. I promise to be quick in catching up to my repayments. Thank you.

    Hello Salimata,

I found your profile because of the wonderful photos from your shop. The fabrics look so beautiful. If you didn't live so far away I would stop into your shop to say hello and see everything in person.

Best wishes in raising the funds for your loan.

You're welcome. Africa is so far away from where I live, but I always see many beautiful photos from the countries there, especially of art and nature.
