About Me

I Vilister Cherotich was born in the Nakuru County, Keringet District, Kapsimbeiwo Village.

I went to Kapsimbeiwo Primary school where I completed my KCPE, Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Later Joined my Silbwet Secondary Education, when I completed my KCSE, Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education, I have managed to attended College education through Farming (school based) after my parents failed to pay fees though they could be able to raise. I recently joined my driving school course which I am to complete in 2 months time. I am currently specializing in Farming only as from October 2012.

I am a married lady with one loving husband.

My Business

I am a farmer and I grow and sell potatoes in small town. I have been doing so for the last two year. The products sell very well in the town. My goods are on demands simply because they are food staffs that is essential to every household and they are really needed in daily life.
I started this after my parents failed to pay my fees and the need to be independent with my own income. Recently the potatoes failed to produce the right yield per acre. For this reason has made me to source for funding. This has created an employment opportunity for myself and other people. My quarterly cost ranges from $24 to $26 per sack (a bumper harvest can be 15 sacks per acre) $10 per day revenue.Mostly i usually get $15 per day. i need this loan so that i can buy more certified seeds for my farm and employed people to till the land which I have leased.

Loan Proposal

First and foremost let me take this chance to thank all zidisha Lenders wherever they are my God give you good health. After I took my first loan it assisted me to plant the potatoes. The potatoes has also provided a source on living to two of my casual guys who normally help in the farm. One of the guys who assist me in the farm is a drunkard and I am trying to rehabilitate him and has a family to support. My first loan which I took three months ago assisted me a lot for I have achieved the following:
1. I manage to insure the crops which are currently growing well.
2. Planted 2 acre land which is due to be harvested in 2 months’ time.
3. Saved USD 33 towards my driving school course.
With the current loan which I want to borrow of USD 228 I will manage to achieve the following:
a) Renting another 2 acre USD 88
b) Insurance USD 55
c) Buying pesticides USD 50
d) Employing a casual worker to assist me USD 11
e) Excess Amount of USD 24 I will save so that I will use it to rent the house I will stay while studying driving course.
With the profits in the project I will manage to:
Save for my driving course and for course in ICT. Thanks lenders and May God help you

the potatoes did not give me a good profit but since I had insured against the value of the input I am following up with the insurance for compensation.
