About Me

i was born in nairobi,went to st dominic primary school then to kangundo high school and then latter to kenya methodist university.searched for a job for 3 years without any success. after that started a clothing shop didnt work, after that started selling shoes but not profitable.After trying different business without success i was introduced to entertainment business(movie shop) by my friend which picked positively and showed potential of becoming a big business in future.Capital has become a major challenge because nobody i know has the capacity to fund me.Iam positive minded ,hardworking.

My Business

my business is in the entertainment industry which is a wide and most fast growing industry in Kenya.I run a movie shop.I also do photocopying,printing and scanning. This business targets both young and old.My typical costs are licenses,electricity bills, rent ,maintenance of equipment and stock.To pay for my school fees and child, rent ,family expenses .

Loan Proposal

Installation of internet services will be done by Zuku which is an international internet service provider company.
The cost of the installation plus one month fee will be $69.
The remaining $310 will be used to expand the business by purchasing electronic stocks(Hard Disk,Flash Disk,DVD drives and DVD Cleaners).
The cost of the stock is as follows:

Through the internet customers will be able to make orders and purchases online and the goods will be delivered to their door steps.This will make the business to run more efficiently, make it easier for the customer to do purchases and communication will be made easier and cheap.

In the recent market customers are preferring soft copy rather than hard copy because its cheap, portable and easy to edit data that is why I am investing in portable external storage devices.
In the recent years in Africa people are buying more computer than in the previous years this is because they have become affordable and that is why I am investing in computer drives because they need to be replaced occasionally.
Sales and profit are expected to raise by 30% when the above project is implemented.
After the injection of more cash input not only will the project make easily and available the goods to the general society, but it will also provide an employment opportunity to a jobless youth

    Hello team, I talked to Sylvester musembi and he explained his situation. His movie was not in permanent shop and was demolished by the government under the highway authority during the construction of Nairobi Outer ring road. He has promised to repay the loan in small instalments until it is fully serviced. I wish him all the best.Thanks for your concern and understanding.

    Currently the business is not doing well because of current road construction that is affecting power supply and access of customer to the business premises. I am confident after the road construction is over the business will return to its normal state and even perform well than before.

    Due to the construction of road (outering road) by the government which is near where my business is located my business has been adversely affected but I have already put some measures to ensure that i repay all my pending Instalment. In addition there has been frequent power interruptions by the contractors and this has affected the business negatively.I have reduced my weekly instalment to 500 this will help me to be able to pay my weekly instalment in this hard time my business is going through.

    There has been frequent power blackouts caused by construction of road by the government and this has affected the business adversely and its for this reason that I would like to adjust my weekly installment to 500 from 1000 until the problem is solved.

    With the Loan I was able to buy stock of external storage devices i.e memory cards and flash disk.
    This has made it easy and convenient to share data and files in soft copy format.This has also increased sales by 20 %.

    The new printer has boosted my business in a big way e.g profit has increased by 35%. Cost of printing papers,maintenance and ink has gone down by 50%. Due to the increased profit I have also been able to employ 2 youth who were jobless and thus making a difference in the community.

    With the loan I will buy a better printer(XP800) that has the capacity to handle commercial work.
    This will reduce the time spend to serve a customer and increase the no of customers served in a day hence the business will be more efficient and profit is estimated to increase by 30%.
