About Me

I am a twentynine year old Kenyan man married with one child and currently a resident of Busia county. I sat for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary school Education (K.C.S.E) examinations in the year 2001(two thousand and one) and attained a mean grade of B-(minus) in Hono secondary school in Siaya county.

Having no fee to continue with my education I moved to Nairobi where I did odd jobs, saved some money and managed to pay for my CPA fees and attained CPA part 1 certificate. Armed with this certificate I managed to get employed as an accounting officer with duties involving posting debit and credit entries, preparing statements and reports. I have also worked in different business set-ups like industrial production, retail business and service industry which enabled me to gain experience in various fields.

My Business

My last job in Nairobi was as an accounting officer for an insurance company before I relocated to Busia to set up my own business as a dealer in children and women foot wear, which I have set up with my savings from the salary earned at the insurance company. My business has no fixed abode as I move from market to market on every market day selling my wares.

I took the decision to venture into business in Busia because of two major reasons, the first one being that my father had passed away leaving my mother alone after at our rural home and being their own male child I had to move closer to home to settle some land issues that had cropped up and the second being that Busia is a neighbouring county to Siaya that thrives on trade (as opposed to Nairobi which is far away and costly to move to and from Siaya).

I move to four markets a week and so far my rate of stock turnover is impressive, I therefore need to get some loan to increase my stock.

Loan Proposal

I will increase my stock by buying more chicks which are one-day old for a start with some of the money.
These chicks when fully grown will provide a steady supply of eggs from the farm to the local market. A percentage of the money will cater for vaccination and treatment whenever required and therefore a reserve will be necessary.
Some funds will be used to buy growers mash for the growing chicks and once they mature up we will begin to feed them with layers mash for maximum returns. Basically, feeds will constitute the largest proportion of my farm budget.
Some money will be allocated for providing lighting in the structure where the chicks are housed since they will need light throughout.
To add on top of the little amount I have as reserves and savings, a loan of KShs. 17,572.00 from you will be of great help.
Thank you in anticipation.

The loan I have just repaid has been of help.
I managed to upgrade the structure where my poultry is housed and also to buy feeds.
    Things worked a lot easier.

    Thanks to my lenders.

The loan was really of great help to my business even though at the beginning, starting was a bit shaky.
As of now, the farm has picked up and furthermore am back to work (employment) and hence I can repay my loans with ease. Thanks a lot.

I have been away on a mission. I was not able to get time and transact any business. So that is the reason for the delay but as soon as I get back, I'll be able to clear my account with Zidisha.

Am just not in a good financial position currently because my chicken had some disease which is airborne that killed so many poultry in our locality. I have been using the little finances I have to replenish my farm since the out break was uncontrollable. Actually my project is picking up now after replacing the poultry that were infected. I hope to finish the loan soon.
