About Me

Am Erick momanyi, I live in kisii Kenya, i went to tendere primary school then completed my secondary education at sameta high school, I got a C at my secondary education but I wasn't able to join college because of financial problems.
I decided to start a small business that would help me save which will allow me further my studies in one of the local colleges here in kisii.
I have passion for business and I'll love to take business management in college.

My Business

I started my business in 2018, the intent of starting this business is to to help me save enough to help me join college by the start of next year, I'll still keep selling the second clothes because I'll be taking evening classes.
I sell second hand clothes in my local market, mostly I deal with men's clothes, Both casual wear and official.
I have been able to build a good clientele which has raised the demand for my clothes, I hope zidisha will help me increase my stock.

Loan Proposal

With this new loan, I would like to get ladies' casual clothing. Mainly, I'm dealing with
men's clothes, but ladies have been requesting that I provide something for them, too.

For this loan of KES 89000, I would split it into parts:

The first bale would be of ladies' dresses, for KES 25000, for approximately 100 to 150 dresses. On average, I can sell a dress at KES 350 to KES 500, making a profit of between KES 10000 to 25000 from this bale.

The second bale would be of ladies' sweatpants, which would cost KES 20000, for approximately 100 pieces. Selling them at KES 300, this would give me a profit of KES 10000.

Then, I would restock men's business shirts. A bale of these shirts would cost me KES 25000, for at least 100 shirts, which I would sell at KES 350 per shirt, earning me a profit of KES 10000.

From the remaining amount of KES 18000, I would use KES 12000 to get half of a bale of men's sweatpants. This would be to add to the remaining stock, so that I would be less likely to run out of stock.

Finally, with KES 6000, I would invest in face masks, to help with the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus. I intend to resell them at a low price, to ensure that everyone could buy them.

Thanks for being with me and supporting me.
God bless and stay safe.

Income Source

Risk & Revenue Information: With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I had to find a better way to reach my customers. Therefore, I have embraced online selling, and I use social-media platforms to reach more people. I post on Facebook and Twitter, and this has really helped me. I also sell on other sites, such as: Pigiame and Jiji.co.ke. With the measures I have taken, I have been able to increase my sales, and this has ensured that I am able to repay my loan on time.
